  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

As part of the agreement, Stephanopoulos and the network issued statements of 'regret' for comments that prompted the lawsuit

FIRST ON FOX: ABC News and their top anchor George Stephanopoulos have reached a settlement with Donald Trump in his defamation suit, which will result in the news network paying the president-elect $15 million.

The settlement was publicly filed on Saturday, revealing that the two parties have come to an agreement and avoided a costly trial. According to the settlement, ABC News will pay $15 million as a charitable contribution to a "Presidential foundation and museum to be established by or for Plaintiff, as Presidents of the United States of America have established in the past." Additionally, the network will pay $1 million in Trump's attorney fees.

Stephanopoulos and ABC News will issue statements of "regret" as an editor's note at the bottom of a March 10, 2024, online article, about comments made earlier this year that prompted Trump to file a defamation lawsuit.

They seriously need to admit that they are doing - - exactly what everyone sees them doing. Then do an about face - and start reporting news rather than trying to influence elections and engage in stirring unrest, dissent.. They need to get out of the business of "social engineering" for the sake of political agenda.

Stephanopoulos made the mistake of saying that Trump was "convicted" of rape. He could have left off the convicted part and Trump would have lost the case, just as he lost when he sued MS Carroll.

Trump didn't move on after getting beat in 2020. The difference is Trump is delusional and Democrats accept the obvious.
Ok?

Maybe the election in 2020 was a blessing in disguise.
