Only the Anakites were described as being tall. As far as I recall no such description was given for the Hittites, Girgashites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites. Also I don't think it was said that the the Anakites were totally destroyed, just that they were defeated.

I submit to you that God wiped out the giant clans for much the same reason as the flood. Genesis 6 gives us the answer but many refuse to accept what is written.

Just being an enemy of Israel just doesn’t cut it . Children are innocent! There has to another reason a compassionate merciful God would have innocent children killed. I reckon that God knew who had the corrupted Genes hence the reason for the killing of men, women & children, even the animals as many legends tell us of mythological creatures.
