Did he do it on the campaign trail, or did he do it while standing behind the official presidential seal and say his opponent was like Hitler--shortly after his opponent had been shot because of such rhetoric?

I suggest you study the protocol used anytime the President and Vice President use when they are speaking in public...

The "protocol" is inconsistent. What more study is needed?
If they're going to set up the official seal to stand behind, with the office flag in the background, the speech better be about official business related to the office they hold, and not to stand there calling their political opponent a "fascist" just before an election. If she wants to do that, she should do it at one of her canned rallies. That's where such talk belongs.

So it would seem that you're accepting that Harris has resigned herself and her party to being what they claim to despise.
This is what you get when you let Mr Trump into your political sphere. Both Lindsay Graeme and JD Vance said the same thing about him in the before times but no one listened to them.

As you well know, she's a candidate for POTUS.

According to your reasoning, Donald J Trump was using his position as President to slander Joe Biden in the 2020 campain.
YEP

Seems some forget all the slandering Trump did while in office and at the White House.

Political parties and presidential campaigns often obscure the presidential seal when using footage for political purposes.
CNBC (OP video source) is not a presidential campaign or political party.

Oh PErfect!!!!!

Slander?
I FULLY SUPPORT Trump taking her to court for such actions. In fact, it would be weak and ladylike if he did NOT do so. It's his stirling reputation and if it is slander, she should be charged.
Careful - if a Republican used such wording they would be labeled misogynistic - the words show a glaring hatred of women.

But being liberal you are most likely safe.

I’m glad that some of the folks on the Right are coming around on the distinction between “official acts” and acts merely done while in office.
I'm worried the decision matrix will look something like the ones used to figure out if deficits matter.

“Donald Trump is increasingly unhinged and unstable, and in a second term, people like John Kelly would not be there to be the guardrails against his propensities and his actions. Those who once tried to stop him from pursuing his worst impulses would no longer be there and no longer be there to rein him in,” Harris said.

As if slandering Trump during her campaign rallies wasn't enough, now Harris is using her position as Vice President of the United States, making a speech behind the official seal of the Vice President, and with the Vice Presidential flag behind her to slander Trump with more accusations.
Is slandering a political opponent now considered to be an official act of the Vice President? Or is she just abusing her position?

She added: “It is clear from John Kelly’s words that Donald Trump is someone who, I quote, ‘certainly falls into the general definition of fascists’, who, in fact, vowed to be a dictator on day one and vowed to use the military as his personal militia to carry out his personal and political vendettas.”

If she's going to make these types of remarks about a political opponent, she should save it for the campaign trail, and not do it as an official act of her office.

And she biden, and Obama have a bigger case for slander againast him, it's pathetic watching him whining about name calling when thats half his campaign strategy, he's so thinned skinned that he can't handle being called unhinged and facists, but will go about calling others, "Kamablah, communist, will destroy america." and more to Kamala, "SLeepy joe, senile, dementia." to biden, and the whole birther thing, and Huisein barrack obama. HE's said as bad if not worse about his oponents, but oh geeze poor guy can't handle being name called.

He did campaign directly from the White House.

That was at the time considered unprecedented.

I liked the first 11 minutes best :D

I found the rest to be a distorted theatrical smear campaign. Reminiscent of:

I can't stand listening to her.

It' all WORD SALAD.

Was that instance a smear campaign speech calling Biden a fascist?
No idea and I wouldn’t really care. My point is he used the White House in a clearly partisan, political manner and as a campaign prop and without looking, I would bet money he absolutely slandered his opponent from behind the presidential seal. It would honestly surprise me if he didn’t.

You have no idea, but you know all that. What specific event is that photo taken from? I'd like to check out what was actually happening.

Liberals are offended by the word "ladylike"?
