The town hall, moderated by South Dakota Gov. Kristi L. Noem (R), began with questions from preselected attendees for the former president. But it took a sudden turn after two attendees required medical attention.

“Let’s not do any more questions. Let’s just listen to music. Let’s make it into a music. Who the ██ wants to hear questions, right?” he said.

For 39 minutes, Trump swayed, bopped — sometimes stopping to speak — as he turned the event into almost a living-room listening session of his favorite songs from his self-curated rally playlist.

He played nine tracks. He danced. He shook hands with people onstage. He pointed to the crowd. Noem stood beside him, nodding with her hands clasped. Trump stayed in place onstage, slowly moving back and forth. He was done answering questions for the night.

“This is the most important election in the history of our country,” Trump said, once again accusing Democrats of weaponizing elections. But then he went back to his music.

“Those two people that went down are patriots, and we love them, and because of them we ended up with some good music, right?” he asked. “So play ‘YMCA!’ Go ahead. Let’s go nice and loud!”

To be sure, there was some Q&A during the event. Someone asked Trump about his plan to address grocery prices, for example, and his odd answer included references to Hannibal Lecter — who remains a fictional character that the former president frequently talks about for reasons unknown

That thing Trump did last night is not explainable and it is not small. It shows that he’s increasingly detached from reality. Everyone knows if Biden or Harris did that it would be media mayhem. He’s not OK, and you can’t ignore it anymore.

I would welcome any explanations for Trump's conduct.

While I don't think the music thing is anything more than kooky, it is absolutely true that the Right would be wigging out if Biden or Harris did this.

Help me understand. Two people were getting medical attention from passing out. Instead of ignoring the and continuing questions and answers, they played music so the people could be tended to.

And that is a bad thing? Alternative reality indeed.

I tell ya, the man can do absolutely nothing right. He could help a disable person across a busy street and the left would be screaming about how he put the person in danger and it demonstrates he hates the disabled.

Incredible

And just how did playing music help them get help? It isn't like Trump is a physician and he put on music so he could be released to help them.

After both attendees received medical attention while "Ave Maria" played, no more questions were asked. Although Trump spoke a few times, the town hall came to an end as the event segued into musical selections.

The thread is about what happened after they'd been attended to.

The only "alternative reality" that exists here is the one in your imagination because you failed to grasp all of what happened before commenting.

Trump answered only five questions from attendees before the two incidents with audience members requiring medical attention.

While medical professionals attended to the first person, some in the audience sang God Bless America. After a few minutes, Trump asked if they could play Ave Maria on the speakers, a song he mentioned was played at his recent rally in Butler.

An audience member named Heather, who said she was a registered Democrat most of her life, asked Trump at 7:34 p.m. how he would handle deportations of undocumented migrants, which has become a cornerstone of his campaign.

A second person appeared to need medical attention during Trump’s answer, so he asked for the music to resume.

“Would anyone else like to faint?” Trump asked after a few minutes. This was nearly 45 minutes after Trump took the stage.

Nearly an hour into the program Trump suggested that they end the questions, and instead make the rest of the night a “music fest.”

Rally attenders tend to be older people. They wait for hours in hot--or cold--weather, risking dehydration.
Sometimes the buses don't come to take them to distant parking lots.
Apparently health problems are not uncommon at Trump rallies.

OK. There were first aid personnel in attendance, apparently. Trump thinks it was excitement and the heat. He posted this on Truth Social:
I had a Town Hall in Pennsylvania last night. It was amazing! The Q and A was almost finished when people began fainting from the excitement and heat. We started playing music while we waited, and just kept it going. So different, but it ended up being a GREAT EVENING!

Since you offer no facts, I’ll just have to say it seems you have a vivid imagination
