Its all performance. That is what the Left think reality is, a performance. Life is a cabaret.
This idea stems back to Feminism, Black studies and Queer theory and radicals like Judith Bulter who claimed that bodies are gendered and not biologically determined. They are socialised, constructed and acted out. Have you ever noticed men identifying as women always exentuate femininity, The look like they are act female rather than are female.
So gender, sex, race or whatever identity you want to be becomes the performed identity and reality and biology and the physical body is secondary or even non existent. We seen this change when only 10 years ago gender was the social construction and biological sex the reality, objective reality. Now gender identity is the reality and sex the social construction.
This is like social constructionism where society and culture create gender, sex, race, religion and morality. Morals are subjective and relative to culture. Reality is created through words and narratives performed.
Its a very slippery ideology and can recreate and morph with whatever identity and its powerful because well 'its a performance and this is very engaging and emotive.
Even though at the same time ideologues claim that identity is the only true reality it sure changes a lot and is hard to pin down.
We see this with how Wokist object to whites wearing corns for example in their hair and other misappropriations. Like your stealing an identity of worth thats not yours. Your not the original performer. Yet corns were also worn by Vikings and Europeans. But at the same time its ok for the Left to appropriate whenever.
But the ideologues only create this like they are trying to recreate Kamarla into Harris mark 2. The new and improved Kamarla. Just pull the chord and she can be whoever you want her to be lol.
In fact I think all this performance is going to her head. Her minders are trying to pretend Harris is not the VP who served the last 3 and a 1/2 years but a newly created candidate. So Karmala is actually running against her old self lol. No one wonder shes confused and speaks in word salads.
I wonder if they could arrange for the old Harris to debate the new Harris. That would be interesting. Or maybe Karmala can learn to be unburdoned by what has been, her old self, her real self that keeps getting in the way.
