  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

More than 200 Republicans who previously worked for either former President Bush, Sen. McCain, or Sen. Romney, endorse VP Harris

That implies it happens to so many other presidents.

So find me one.

Glibly putting up a "never trump movement" link is kinda pointless too since it doesn't really address anything
We were issued a dire warning before the 2016 election ( which I previously linked alongside the “never trumpers”). There was a high level of conflict at the time. By 2020, outside of Covid 19, there was far less conflict. In 2024, we have renewed & worse conflict raging. Apparently you trust whatever they are warning us but actual history seems to say otherwise. Undoubtedly you will disagree further and continue to trust these “experts”.

This is SO vague I really don't know what you're talking about. What do you mean "high level of conflict"? Within the party? in America? In the world?

By 2020, outside of Covid 19, there was far less conflict.
what do you mean? COVID didn't cause any conflict. And there was LESS conflict because countries were dealing with a global pandemic.

In 2024, we have renewed & worse conflict raging.
Which you don't delineate or explain. Nor create any meaningful connection to the current administration.

Apparently you trust whatever they are warning us but actual history seems to say otherwise.
I'm sorry but I don't really understand this sentence. But if your argument is that both Democrat and Republicans are trotting out fire and brimstone if the other party is elected, yeah...I can't disagree.

Trump has already said that there is "nobody in the world who knows more about foreign policy than me". I wonder what he bases that on?

I was busy when I posted this and accidentally lumped Covid 19 alongside prevailing conflict ( like the Ukraine war). I posted repeatedly throughout this thread that the Middle East, Russia & Ukraine etc. had far less conflict. Mass migration of humanity had been brought back to more ordered immigration etc.

I mentioned that many of the same national security “experts” who warned us about the alleged dangers of a Trump presidency in 2016 are warning us again the same way. If Smokey the Bear was an arsonist who set forest fires, they would fit the same part in saying that only you could prevent forest fires.

Former Republican Sen. Jeff Flake is endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris because of his conservative values — not in spite of them — he said Saturday in an interview announcing his support for the Democratic presidential nominee.
...

“I'm a conservative. I believe in the rule of law,” Flake said during an interview at The Nile Coffee Shop in Mesa on Saturday afternoon. “First and foremost, I want to support a presidential candidate that respects the rule of law, somebody who, if they lose an election, wouldn't try to use the presidential powers to overturn that election.”

And two fake farmers on a Harris ad who claimed to be former Trump supporters that support Harris were paid actors. Watch out for misinformation from the party who complains about misinformation.

I would think that no one likes misinformation. And I don't know if they were paid or not, but Bob and Christina Lange are the real authentic farmers in the ad. They grow strawberries in Pennsylvania, and I also know that Bob ran as a Republican for the Willistown township supervisor in 2013.

Former Senator Jeff Flake is representing his own views. There's nothing fake about him.
