There are two kinds of churches: one is liberal, and the other is radical. Both can be dangerous because the liberal church downplays the Bible, such as denying the teaching that same-sex relationships are wrong. On the other hand, the radical church is problematic because it teaches what the apostles did not.
I will focus on the latter group, as it may sound encouraging to those who are drawn to radical ideas.
I've heard pastors teach that being poor is good, but Proverbs clearly states that poverty is undesirable. If you are talented in your job and hold a director position, it is perfectly fine to keep that job rather than working as a janitor. Just praise God for giving you those talents.
I've also heard pastors give advice that goes beyond scripture, suggesting that one must set minimum requirements when choosing a partner. While this may be generally good advice to protect our marriages and keep them holy before the Lord, St. Paul said that widows can marry whoever they wish, as long as their spouse is in the Lord. Therefore, the pastor goes too far by imposing specific requirements that prevent their members from dating. Some refuse to date simply because potential partners are not of the same denomination.
Recently I've learned there is a group called Amish who reject high education and refused to use electric?! Where in the bible it says electric is evil?
Should theses radical group be called a cult? Coz it has a culture that teach beyond the apostle teaching.
