  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Mr Rogers had it right

I wonder if he would have faced backlash if still alive

Yes, I think he would have. And I wonder how long it will be before even the airing of his old programs will be banned?

I find lately that I really enjoy having older television programming playing in my household, while doing chores, etc. It's such a pleasant, calming experience to be reminded of how things use to be in America. But I do suspect some day, if our Country continues on its current trajectory, that much of the older programming will be banned.

Not to go off topic, but did you know he was a Presbyterian minister and apparently received last rites from a Catholic monk-priest? He never officially converted, though.

Well it’s part of last rites to confess belief in the Catholic Church to receive.

So yeah it’s not announced but it’s a given if they received a sacrament.
Because that’s how it works at death.

I remember look That up many years ago.
