Harris can only run and win if she is not perceived as part of the Biden administration.

I reckon if Karmala's polls keep going down or she is falling behind Trump the Biden will suddenly be stood down and she will take over the presidency. That will give her a boost in the polls going into the election.

But I am not sure that will change much as most people have already decided I think. It may even turn people off as they may percieve this as just another ploy to manipulate things.

I think it depends on which polls you look at. Most of the polls are national but as the US votes by States they are the important ones. So if you look at the States the Electoral votes its telling a different story.

From what I understand Trump is surging ahead in the key awing States needed to win such as Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. Trump only needs to win one of those States at present to win whereas Harris would have to win all those Blue Wall States to win.

Other key States like the Sun belt States Trump is up in Arizona and Georgia up 4% and up a couple of points in North Carolina. Add to that the Rust Belt States. He is also leading in Nevarda which is a traditinally Blue State. Trump was behind in these key States but is now leading.

Its Harris who is struggling in these key States that will decide the election but the Leftist media don't want to talk about that and keeps highlighting national figures.

The Left brags about Harris having the Hispanic vote where they are up 20 points but they have fallen from the traditional 30 point gap over the Repulicans and its still falling. Or like the Teamster poll which traditionally supports the Dems are now not supporting any candidate. But internal polling has an overwhelming support for Trump 58% to Harris 31%.

We also know that historically Trumps numbers are understated in past elelections so the national polls the Leftist media are focusing on are usually 4, 5 or even 8 points out. Yet Trump is only a couple of points behind which would equate to a win.

At the very least its close and its going to come down to the swing States which Trump seems to be leading most of them.

We have the coverup of an incompetent president, the forcing out of a sitting president and the installation of an elitist choice of president bypassing the usual presendential vetting process.
