The Southeast is bracing for the threat of a major hurricane which is forecasted to push into the Florida panhandle and through the heart of Georgia by the end of the week.

I am in north GA and there is supposed to be heavy rain starting tonight a number of school districts have canceled classes either tomorrow and Friday or just on Friday including both the system in my county and the district where my sister is employed. Both are holding classes, but no after school events tomorrow and will be closed on Friday.

Update there are actually hurrricaine WARNINGS in counties not even on the COAST in GA for a storm that is excepted to make landfall in Fla ( warnings on the coast would be one thing as we DO border Fla. Not only that, but it is expected to hit the Guff Coast which is not even the coast that GA shares with Fla that is Ala on the guff.

My county is under a tropical storm warning and we are NOWHERE near the coast. If we want to go to the beach it is a about 3-5 hour drive.

So far, it's calm where I am. The panhandle is going to get hit hard though
Wind will be the primary issue for where I am.

I JUST got power back less than two hours ago ( had been out since Friday at 5AM. Many even in my area ( north GA are still without power and many more in harder hit areas with more than 100 deceased and 100s still missing. The southeast could certainly use prayer.
