64 days: Kamala Harris has yet to do formal press conference since emerging as Democratic nominee

Vice President Kamala Harris hasn’t held a formal press conference with reporters since she became the presumptive and now official Democratic nominee.

The Biden strategy of hiding in his basement worked pretty well. The Harris strategy of hiding from a questioning press is also working.

After her good debate performance, I hoped she'd have more news interviews about policy since she hasn't made me suspicious.

In the debate she successfully managed to yank Trump's chain. And yet otherwise it was the usual word salad. She didn't win it, but managed to make Trump lose the debate. She didn't look or act presidential as much as she gave Trump the opportunity to look and act un-presidential. I wish we had some other parties represented in the debate who could have made them both look un-presidential.

I honestly feel she articulated her talking points well (still no substance) and painted Trump as divisive which his rhetoric is at his rallies and this is why I chose not to support Trump in the past. Harris seems to be too deceptive in my eyes and she couldn't answer a simple question about reducing the cost of living which shows me she doesn't have the intelligence to run this country and will be a puppet to someone else running the country behind the scenes. The only thing that would change my mind is if she gave an interview with Fox News and articulated her position well.

I wish we had some other parties represented in the debate who could have made them both look un-presidential.

She did perform but left out any substance. Even her scripted interviews were full of fluff and no substance, this woman is an empty suit that is not qualified to be President.

I agree but his core issues haven't changed about immigration, ending the wars, and the economy even though I blame Trump for not having a wall built.

Hes been backing down from abortion extremism. Many of his supporters wanted the maga movement to stand for more than just sending abortion to the states. Hes decided he cant give them more.

On the economy, he'll offer something good....... at the price of the federal debt.

This is what bothers me and his proposed Tariffs but after all, we vote for who we feel is the lesser of two evils and I agree about the states handling abortions because I too feel that his abortion stance was too extreme.

She can string words together to sound nice while still saying nothing.

That was the one thing she needed to do and she did it. She didn't and maybe couldn't provide anything of substance herself.

She's smart enough to stay away from any really probing questions and follow-up. Because she couldn't handle any tough questions. Just softballs. No hardballs at 100 MPH.

I haven't heard her speak often but what I've heard has been pretty dang eloquent so I'm curious what a "Word salad" means for a candidate I'm barely Luke warm to instead of actively get disgusted by.
