She has a gun and doesn't know what it is? Why on earth would you suggest that? That's almost like 'Huh, she's just a girl. She won't know what sort of gun it is'. That's a pretty risible response.

And a canned response is a typical run-of-the-mill response that doesn't need to be pre-planned. Because it comes ready packaged. This was just the opposite. She’s a highly educated successful woman, but a woman. I recently saw a great point: if you have two candidates for the same job, 1 man, 1 woman, choose the woman because the effort it took for her to be considered on the same level as the man makes her more qualified. Women are still considered less than a man in leadership in the US. I Hope Kamala can change that. ( and against Trump especially)

here is the difference between castle doctirine and stand your ground.

Castle doctorine, I can feel threatened in my own home and shoot you.
Stand your ground as has been the case, I can break into your hours, threaten you, then shoot you becuse I feel threatened when you respond back. THere is no requirement to be innocent, or actually be in danger just feel it. Look at the george floyd incident, regardless of where you stand on if that was rightful shooting or not, the guy attacked someone else, followed him, created a situation where someone felt threatened, and then when that person responds appropriatly, he gets shot because the other guy feels threatend for something he created.

There is a concept in the law that stand your ground side steps, wich is fighting words, you do or say something to cause me to react in anger that can put you prtially responsible for the fight/incident, or mitigate any sentencing I get for attacking you. But with stand your ground you can do actions that make me feel concerned for my saftey and try to protect myself, but because I do, you feel threatend and shoot me.
