  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Taking a page out of her boss’s playbook, Vice President Kamala Harris told major whoppers during her Tuesday night debate against Donald Trump. With help from left-wing activists masquerading as debate moderators, Harris whitewashed her extreme record, lied about Trump’s policy positions, and more.

Here are some of the biggest falsehoods she told throughout the evening.

It doesn't take long to fact check this as being right wing propaganda. They didn't even do much research or maybe they thought people wouldn't check them.

Say what you want about CNN, but I would rate their fact checking at least ten times more accurate than "The Federalist," an extremely conservative media source.
Just the opposite is true. Just like the rest of the major media, CNN is lying about abortions. Look at what CNN reported back in 2019:

Northam, a pediatric neurosurgeon, told Washington radio station WTOP. “The infant would be delivered. The infant would be kept comfortable. The infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and the family desired. And then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother.”

In the first place, "late term abortion" means 20-24 weeks, and those extremely infrequent abortions almost always take place because the fetus has a condition incompatible with life.
If a baby is born prematurely at that stage, doctors would do the same. They would assess if aggressive treatment would allow a child to live or whether it would just prolong a painful, inevitable death.
1 pound preemies don't have very good chances, particularly if lungs are undeveloped.
Whether the living baby was born naturally prematurely--or in an attempted abortion-- the doctors would be required to treat unless doing so would only prolong an inevitable painful.death.

Look, I saw the video of the governor, it may be rare but it happens and it is an execution. ABC was lying, Trump told the truth. Walz has even seen that it no longer gets reported in Minnesota:

"But in 2023, Walz worked with his new Democrat-controlled Legislature to eliminate both the reporting requirement and the state’s legal obligation for doctors, nurses and medical professionals to administer life-saving care to infants born alive during an abortion procedure."
Debate moderator fact-checks Trump on botched abortions, ignores eight babies who died in Minnesota

I checked the track record of Just the News and it's founder, John Solomon. It promotes conspiracy theories and manufactured scandals.
Can you find a better source for your so-far unfounded allegations? Thanks.

I do not understand the insistence of people that their side does not lie. It's absolutely maddening. Politicians lie, and Harris is certainly no exception. It's as plain as the nose on your face. If you don't believe your side lies, you are wearing blinders and drinking the metaphoric Kool-Aid. Yes, she told many falsehoods during the debate. It was probably part of her plan to get under Trump's skin.

Most of Kamala's lies were easy to expose.

Harris claim of Trump making six bankruptcies is misleading.

Big businesses often buy failing business, which by law they can file for bankruptcy. They
then turn the business around in order to make it successful.

As an example, Mitt Romney did it with Staples by first filing for bankruptcy after
he purchased the company. He then turned it into a thriving business.

In other words, Trump, like all others, follow the laws for filing for bankruptcy. However,
it doesn't mean that they themselves made the business fail.

I find it so interesting Harris' mentioning Trump inherited $400 million from his father and went bankrupt six times is never mentioned among the lies.
Trump denied this of course, as he does the 88 felony indictments backed up by boatloads of evidence.
I must assume, as I do with the 88 felony indictments, that it's the truth.
Speaking very poorly of his business acumen and his character.
400 million to 3 billion in 35 years. 350 separate business entities globally.

Loved by the Clintons until he became a Republican. Loved by the persons on ‘The View’ until he became a Republican.

Not bad for a man who doesn’t read, has no business ability and is a habitual liar.

She seems to love talking about any decade other than the ones where she is in office and having any chance to have a policy to address the problems she claims to now be interested in.

Trump denied this of course, as he does the 88 felony indictments
a misdemeanor about receipt filing - turns into about 30 felony charges when the legal system is weaponized to an extreme-left level.
Felony 1 - "saw the receipt"
felony 2 - "picked up the receipt"
felony 3- "knew about the receipt"
...

(At least that is what it looks like from a tiny bit of distance :) )

because as we all know - for the left in the case of Trump - being blackmailed is a crime committed by the victim of blackmail -- the black mailer herself should be immune.

Oh well - - I guess the Supreme court will have to sort some of that out. As they have been doing so far.

Hmmm...if his net worth is accurate, it's increased by 750%. Not bad. Shrug.

In.the same period, the DOW went from 2510 to 41535. An increase of 1600%.

If he put it in index funds it would have done better.

According to an inflation calculator I found, $400M would have been worth about $1.7B. So taking inflation into account, he managed to double his networth in 35 years. That's not bad, but IMO it's not an indication of a financial wizard.
