I suspect that Trump's response to that joke would be, "I'd be the one coming out alive."
Sounds like a joke he would tell at his rallies and his supporters would hoot and holler just like they did when he suggested that the 2nd Amendment people might take care of H. Clinton if she became President.

I just don't see any upside in the right trying to beat the left at that particular game.

A) they don't control a large enough section of the media to make it "land"

B) it undermines their prior defenses of instances where he's made jokes that people tried to pretend we're literal

The "Orders Received" line quoted in the headline is not from Harris. It's a misquote of a tweet from "Club 4 Growth senior analyst Andrew Follett."

And if we're gonna be pedantic, she didn't specify Trump. She could have just as easily been supporting "Hang Mike Pence."

Add to this the rhetoric and narratives being pushed by the Left like Biden who said they need to put a target on him, Goldman saying Trump needed to be eliminated and others calling him worse than Hitler and Mussolini and Hillary's remarks and the constant fixation on Trump to the point of derangement .

Add to this that the Left even acknowledged after the first attempt on Trump that the rhetoric needed to come down but knowingly continued the hype about Trump and what seems to be a casual attitude towards his safety and security by the current administration as well as the biased reporting and dangerous narratives by the Leftist media.

It all adds up and one begins to wonder if the Left just doesn't care and actually want Trump taken out. Sometimes its not what you say that fuels the fire and it seems just like how the Left did not clearly condemn anti semetism on their side and in institutions like universities which inflamed the situation.

The same with their attitude to the way they are inflaming things and not making it clear with Trump in condemning these acts. In fact they are excusing them as justified. Thats the crazy part that they don't realise they are doing. Or maybe they do and don't care because they are so desperate to stop Trump.

But its not just Trump the Leftist are attacking. They are attacking half the population who disagree and think Trump is what the US needs. You see the demeaning attitude the elite Leftist have towards Trump supporters calling them deplorables and stupid for voting Trump. The Left elites truely believe they are the saviours and superior to everyone and therefore can and need to do everything to save the US.

It seems its the Left who are the dangerous ones right now with their dangerous and divided rhetoric never mind some future situation that has not and will not happen by Trump. Theres a growing number of deranged Leftists actually calling and wanting Trump killed just like there is a growing number of Leftist radicals wanting to kill Jews.

The level of hate has gone up 10 notches and this is not good. The US is in a dangerous and unstable place right now and its no good for anyone as they should be the bastians of freedom and truth and making a better world.
