They specifically and deliberately spread a lie that these Haitians in Springfield are eating people’s cats and dogs. You don’t get to gaslight that part away. That is racist and xenophobic and has led to death threats. You should be ashamed to continue defending this.

A new bomb threat prompted officials Sunday at Clark State College in Springfield, Ohio, to close the campus this week and hold classes virtually, the school said.

Gosh, I wonder what could possibly cause such an unhinged reaction by someone to some small, insignificant town that no one ever thinks of? It's such a mystery!

One of the issues is that the Federal Commission on Elections is run by the two parties that are in power, and they get to decide on the rules for who gets funding and who gets on the debate stage (and can change those rules at their leisure)

That makes it kinda tough to get a foot in the door.


Obviously there's a happy medium there, they shouldn't be shelling out millions and putting a guy in the national debate who has only 500 supporters in the entire country, the debates would become a mess.

But I think having Green/Democrat/Libertarian/Republican represented would cover enough of the overton window to where we have some "intra-spectrum competition" that would create better choices for people.

Springfield city officials and police said they are working with the Dayton office of the FBI “to thoroughly investigate and trace the origin of these threats.”

[On Monday] The Springfield City School District evacuated both Simon Kenton and Kenwood Elementary schools Monday morning based on information received from the Springfield Police Division.

The district enacted a controlled release to dismiss students to their parents, and a long line of people formed at Springfield High School to pick up their children.

Clark State College, based in Springfield, announced on Sunday that they would be closing all of its campuses and move to remote classes Monday through Friday as a result of two email threats of a potential bombing and shooting from the weekend.

Wittenberg University canceled all activities, events and athletics contests Sunday due to a threat of a potential shooting on campus from an email sent Saturday.

The threat involved a bomb threat utilizing a red Honda Civic. the entire campus was cleared of any suspicious vehicle and no threats were found.

Later Sunday. Wittenberg announced that all classes would be remote on Monday. Faculty and staff were also expected to work remotely, except for essential employees. All events, athletics, and activities were canceled as well.

The Governor of Ohio just announced who made the threats:

"During a Monday press briefing, in which he shared other security measures, DeWine made clear that the threats were not only "hoaxes," but that they were blamed on people from "overseas," including "from one particular country."

"So 33 threats, 33 hoaxes. I'll make that very, very clear. None of these had any validity at all," the governor stated.
