Cynicism usually forms as a defense mechanism that habitually reasons upon "negative prejudice", and a psychotic cynic could project criticism whether Harris was described as NOT transparent, insincere and "hiding something", or whether she was just being herself and described as "NOT controlling" her emotions or facial expressions.

It's futile to try and fix what's not broken, and that is what is frustrating when trying to reason with those who are disconnected from reality through the negative prejudice of cynicism.
Kamala did good during the debate, better than Trump that's why it's a shame that it was rigged in her favor. It wasn't necessary and it makes it look like she wouldn't have done as well on a level playing field.
The moderators gave Trump supporters something to bemoan (bias) and probably ended the chances that there will be any more debates on mainstream networks
Being a centrist this should be obvious to you

Notice how the only thigns the moderator fact checked were the insane 1000% wrong stuff. Not his other thigns he lied about, but his flat out lies, like the abortions after birth and the cats and dogs eating. Again remind me of anything that harris said that was not only patantly false, but absurd to think otherwise?
The point is ... the moderators are not supposed to inject their views into a debate.

Oh, she demonstrated total control.
Trump, on the other hand, was triggered by a simple suggestion that his supporters left his rally early.
You must be referring to one of her scripted campaign appearances.

It wasn’t the moderators’ “view” that people aren’t eating cats and dogs in Ohio. We now have JD Vance admitting on tv he “created the story to bring attention” to this migrant issue in his state. Flat out saying he made it up. They’re lying and spreading hurtful, racist rumors that have now led to bomb and shooting threats in the community just for political gain.

Nice little speech.
The woman still looked weak by being so emotional. That's not what we need.

Again only did it in the most insane stuff, you can complain about, but the things they responded to were the stuf that needed, notice they ignored all of trumps other lies.

Also, so reality and truth is just a 'view' huh?

That would be a good argument to make if you jettisoned the partisan "rigged" comment.

This is a good argument, because the articulation conveys that the term "rigged" is a perception of bias from bias rather than a proven fact. I admit, you have a persuasive compelling point to make here which is going to cause me to wonder why in the world you would not vote for Harris.

So, allow me to make a counterpoint. First off, you served me up "some" measure of humility, because I didn't actually foresee that response as a centrist in the left/right sense. But the truth is, I don't just walk around calculating the variables like two or three moves ahead in a game of chess because it becomes tiresome to the brain and even futile in many cases.

I didn't presume to question the moderators. Moderators are supposed to moderate. That meaning could include acting as an arbiter when judged as necessary, notwithstanding they may have known full well that any corrections or lack of corrections could both be perceived as rigged from either side.

No the debate. Shall I post the transcript (again)?
The one where Harris told a bunch of lies after promising us that we'd be hearing a bunch of lies? Sure!

Showing emotion is not weakness ---> God is Love. But I admit the smirk on her face as she kept pushing Trump's jump button was a bit cruel. Just remember that she wants to emphasize to the audience how Putin would eat him for lunch and how he values the praise from dictator types and also counts fear as respect.

I saw it more like what happened to alex jones in his trial as, "Oh please do go on." when he went unhinged. you can't help but smile when somenone goes off the rails like that.

Trump could have answered the question....instead, rallies, pet eating, etc.

DAVID MUIR: Vice President Harris, thank you. President Trump, on that point I want to get your response.

FORMER PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: Well, I would like to respond.

DAVID MUIR: Let me just ask, though, why did you try to kill that bill and successfully so? That would have put thousands of additional agents and officers on the border.

FORMER PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: First let me respond as to the rallies. She said people start leaving. People don't go to her rallies. There's no reason to go. And the people that do go, she's busing them in and paying them to be there. And then showing them in a different light. So, she can't talk about that. People don't leave my rallies. We have the biggest rallies, the most incredible rallies in the history of politics. That's because people want to take their country back. Our country is being lost. We're a failing nation. And it happened three and a half years ago. And what, what's going on here, you're going to end up in World War 3, just to go into another subject. What they have done to our country by allowing these millions and millions of people to come into our country. And look at what's happening to the towns all over the United States. And a lot of towns don't want to talk -- not going to be Aurora or Springfield. A lot of towns don't want to talk about it because they're so embarrassed by it. In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in. They're eating the cats. They're eating -- they're eating the pets of the people that live there. And this is what's happening in our country. And it's a shame. As far as rallies are concerned, as far -- the reason they go is they like what I say. They want to bring our country back. They want to make America great again. It's a very simple phrase. Make America great again. She's destroying this country. And if she becomes president, this country doesn't have a chance of success. Not only success. We'll end up being Venezuela on steroids.

I would just love to see her do a debate with Donald Trump on the Fox News network with Fox News moderators, or maybe even a couple of other moderators such as Sean Hannity and Glenn Beck. Do you think she would be able to handle that? Do you think she would look composed, rational, and in control?

Why would I vote for 4 more years of what we have been through?
Winning a debate doesn't qualify you to be president.
Truthfully I would have much rather have had someone other than Trump be the nominee but that ship has sailed.
He's crude, he's his own worst enemy with some of the remarks he makes, and there are many things to dislike about him but he would be a better president than Harris.
The race is too close to call and if the debate helps Harris even a little bit it's a huge advantage.

And he showed he doesn’t have the temperament to be president.
Except for the fact that he's already successfully been president for four years, and most people we're better off then than they are now as a result.
