  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

It will be interesting to see how much more ground she loses with the voters after that display.
So far Trump gained a point.

It is if it spurs voter registration drives and getting out the vote.
Democrats driving a bus around town to pick up hobos and offering them free cigarettes and beer doesn't work anymore?

Under this administration more and more people are living on the streets.

At least Kamala claims to visit them.

"Yeah, girl I'm out here in these streets, and let me tell you, there is so much at stake in this moment," ~Harris

From Nate Silver:

3 p.m., Thursday, September 12. The first post-debate polls are in, and they helped Kamala Harris very slightly in our forecast –- but we’d caution against reading too much into any of this data just yet. It takes several days to conduct a traditional poll, and thus so far we’ve only heard from online or IVR firms. And many the polls to enter the database so far have fairly strong house effects. Harris got a good number (+5 nationally) in an Ipsos poll, but that’s generally been one of her stronger polls this cycle. And Trump led by 2 points nationally in a Rasmussen Reports survey, but Rasmussen has a very strong GOP lean.

It's going to be several days before we see how much the debate played a roll in people's voting preferences.

The first post-debate polls are in -- Fact

A new survey conducted by Red Eagle Politics as well as SoCal Strategies and On Point Politics shows that Harris is 3 points ahead of Trump, with 48 percent of the vote to his 45 percent. The poll surveyed 719 likely voters nationally and had a margin of error of plus or minus 3.7 percent.

The poll, conducted between September 10 and September 11, was one of the first since Harris and Trump took part in a debate on Tuesday night in Philadelphia. The former president was fact-checked a number of times during the debate for repeating false claims that the 2020 election was rigged and promoting a conspiracy theory about migrants in Ohio abducting and eating pets.

Another poll, conducted by Leger and the New York Post in the same time frame, also put Harris 3 points ahead of Trump after the debate, with 50 percent of the vote to his 47 percent. It surveyed 1,174 likely voters and had a margin of error of plus or minus 2.72 percentage points.

The Red Eagle Politics poll shows that Harris has gained one point since their previous survey, when she was 2 points up, while Leger's poll puts her one point down since their last survey.

The “hedges/total words ratio” seem high, why might that be perhaps?

The number one issue for many Americans most likely including indepedents and Latinos, is the economy. Are you going to paying more or less if the Biden/Harris administration continues?

Harris has praised Bidenomics so it seems likely that system will continue.

So really Americans are voting for or against Bidenomics.

Former President Donald Trump appears to have made remarkable gains of about 14 points among independents and 19 points with Latino voters relative to Vice President Kamala Harris in a new poll.

From multiple news sources, the analysis of the Harris-Trump debate are that
Harris did much better than Trump.

The wisdom across the decades, is that debates in the presidential
election cycle usually don't change the way in which people vote,
that much.

The fact checking articles across multiple news sources, report that
Trump has a real problem with telling the truth. And, Kamala needs to
flesh out details of her policy.

The general trend since Biden dropped out of the race, is that quite a
few states that were thought to be impossible for the Democrats to win
with Biden, are now in play with Harris. Across America, the race is close,
with Harris having about a 4% lead over Trump, on paper.

Trump is leaning toward turning down more debates with Harris, as the
opinion of his advisors is that he did poorly in this debate.

We'll see how things stand, in another month.

NPR/PBS is the polling source, both liberal outlets, big numbers for the Boss!

I Disagree

Considering the surrounding circumstances Trump did Great!

Kamala is best friends with ABC top executive over ABC "Dana Walden" who held the debate, considering this fact it's hard to believe she didn't have the questions before the debate?

Don't forget the fact that Trump debated with 3 persons, while fact checkers sat in the back ground with assistance to the Harris-Moderators team

Yes it was a one sided debate with pre-planned questions to favor Harris, yes the moderators fact checked and questioned Trump several times, while Kamala walked free from this biased treatment

One thing the world learned and was reminded of, the democrats play dirty and their biased antics were on full display, ABC has gained a new name and world view

80% of voting Americans want to see the southern border issue taken care of, it's a close 2nd to the economy and directly related to it

Yes the Biden/Harris administration has had 3.5 years to deal with the issues "Failure"!

This is a good thing, right?

That's primarily because of the migrants. Many were placed in black and hispanic neighborhoods and their concerns were ignored. The land is cheaper, more empty space, etc.
