CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

There's a girl on Twitter, you guys might've heard of her cause I think there was an article about her. Brie Solstad. Anyway she went through a radical conversion where before she was living a terrible life of sin producing pornography on Only Fans and then it seems like she had a Road to Damascus experience, and became Catholic. Her life now is the complete inverse as before and she's taken a lot of flack for all kinds of things on Twitter, including calling out Christian women for immodesty and exhorting them to reconsider their choices. She hasn't done it in that typical convert way where we suddenly think we're more righteous or more connected to the teachings of the Church than the average Catholic, there's a lot of humility in her exhortation for modesty.
It's sad to see the backlash against her from supposedly sisters in Christ, I think she's one of the few people in a position to critique that practice because she knows first hand what it can lead to and how it affects others.
