CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Points Trump thought were important enough to bring up at the debate unprompted would suggest MTG is wrong on this one.

Is this the first time that I can say that I agree with anything ever said by Marjorie Taylor Greene? It is good that she called out Laura Loomer. Goes to show that even folks who I disagree with can say good things. The stuff said by Loomer makes me nervous as a brown man, and as a human in general.

I guess I could have worded it better. I meant Trump bringing up the cats and dogs thing tells me racist characterizations of foreigners aren’t so out of place on the right like MTG would have us believe.

She has pushed 911 "inside job" conspiracies, apparently, but she attends the 911 events with Trump. That seems odd, but I think I get it. He needs these people around him to keep the distractions going, ad nauseam.

Loomer has been accompanying Trump before the debate and since (including the 9/11 ceremony in NYC).
It appears a blaltant racist has the ear of the former president.

Yeah, you're young. Societies can change and progress, but human nature is what it is. We don't commonly torture people nowadays but an awful lot of people are in favor of it - see Abu Ghraib and Gitmo.
