So some fact-checkers did critique some of her claims after the fact. However, if the moderators themselves were only fact checking Trump live and in "real time" when the nation is watching, and not doing the same to Harris, then one could make argument that there was some biased fact checking.

The stuff that's occurring "live on TV" in real-time, is always going to be a little more damaging and reach more eyes/ears... as opposed to the stuff people have to look for the day after on various websites.


Or to put it another way, one-sided fact-checks being spoon-fed to a large TV audience by the moderators vs. "you have to go out and find the fact checks about the other person yourself tomorrow" isn't exactly a level playing field.

It's basically making one person's lies much more "exposed" and easily accessible to a wider audience than the other's...so in that regard, a claim of bias on the part of the ABC mods isn't completely baseless.

Trump did quite poorly all on his own, but that doesn't mean that the moderators weren't biased against him. It was clear that they were. While they fact-checked Trump multiple times, not once did they feel it necessary to correct or push back on Harris.

It seems clear why she insisted upon having the debate with ABC rather than FOX as Trump had proposed. She needs her friends to be there for support. In the interview, she had Walz. Last night she had Muir and Davis.
