The moderators of the CNN debate earlier this year did a substantially better job than ABC's moderators. CNN's moderators posed questions, kept time and kept their mouths shut, allowing the candidates to address each other's claims.
OTOH, the one-sided fact-checking in real-time in last night's debate was incredibly and obviously biased. At times, the moderators were actively arguing with Trump. That's not a moderator's role in a debate.
Harris did what every politician before her has done when questioned: spin. But she sounded far more professional and coherent than Trump, who actually said that Haitians were having cat buffets in Springfield, OH. Talk about an unforced error.
Trump did quite poorly all on his own, but that doesn't mean that the moderators weren't biased against him. It was clear that they were. While they fact-checked Trump multiple times, not once did they feel it necessary to correct or push back on Harris.
