No sir. I base my beliefs on the revelation that God gives both in Holy Scripture and in Holy Tradition as they are interpreted by Holy Mother Church. And I sing songs such as the one from Hansel and Gretel. May God be praised in all things and at all times always and forever as such is right to do.
That explains a lot of the difference we have - Personally, my faith is based solely on the inerrant Word of God. But you know that already.
Scripture doesn't say a specific number, nor that there is one (or more) "assigned" to each believer. However, it strikes me how often I have had a near miss in a car, or needed a word of encouragement, or was given a service challenge right when I needed one... and I think, "Thank God." It doesn't matter in the moment whether it is God directly or through His angels who "serve those who will inherit salvation" (Heb 1:14)
