  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Trump: States he has every right to interfere in a Presidential Election

I'm not sure how a question is propaganda; particularly since the scenario I was responding to was if Trump had successfully interfered and subverted the certified results of a Presidential election. If he succeeded once, what would stop him from trying to do something similar a second time?
He has also publicly stated that a third term would be nice and that being president for life would be nice

“We are going to win four more years,” Trump said at a rally in Oshkosh, Wisconsin on Monday. “And then after that, we’ll go for another four years because they spied on my campaign. We should get a redo of four years.”

“You know, FDR 16 years — almost 16 years — he was four terms. I don’t know, are we going to be considered three-term? Or two-term?” Trump said, addressing a crowd of thousands of people against gun reform.

In 2018, for example, during a closed-door event at Mar-a-Lago, Trump said “maybe we’ll have to” consider a president-for-life scenario for him, alluding to a desire to have the same tenure as Chinese President Xi Jinping.

If Trump wins you will know democrats didn’t cheat enough. As was the case with Hillary.
Hillary didn't cheat at all. She's never committed a crime, unlike Trump.

Democrats admit that they didn’t let Bernie win, it was rigged

The subject here however is a miss characterization of what trump said.

Something that is an accurate statement would be that the establishment and democrats know fully well that electronic voting machines are easily hacked, but they don’t care and many other similar things. In fact election integrity or wanting to ensure secure elections is irrelevant the will tell you because they just assert that elections are secure, except when they loose of course which has happened in the past. In that case it was Russia or someone else

First they said it was rigged then Donna Brazil changed her mind because they are all team players just like Bernie. They don’t want to make waves or question the big democrat party mob machine that runs everything, just like a bunch of yes men or yes women. They will play little word games like “it wasn’t rigged it was just how the system works” and they will call that democracy or they will say that democracy doesn’t include the free speech that they don’t like

Obama mentioned the same thing

President Barack Obama still believes in the message of “hope and change” he campaigned on in 2008 — so much so that he believes it could have delivered him a third term over Donald Trump had the Constitution allowed him to run again.

There is no evidence at all of the voting machines being hacked.

. . . because they weren't. Fox News lost a libel case over this lie. Actually, to be accurate, Trump's lie, which Fox News repeated many times. In my opinion he should have been sued as well.

To get around the liable, they now talk about the possibility of voting machines being hacked, and use innuendo and paranoia to have people assume therefore they were hacked and the Dems stole the election.

The people (many MAGA supporters) have a gut feeling that the Dems did it, so all they need is a possibility that it could be done to jump to, therefore that is what the Dems did.

Now DOJ is claiming Russia is interfering with the 2024 election. Putin has endorsed Kamala, does that mean she will be investigated relentlessly ?
So Putin says he likes Harris. So therefore Russia can't be interfering on Trump's behalf. Is anyone really going to fall for that?

Do you think that Russia has been been interfering with elections in the US?
Russia may very well be stirring the pot in many ways but Trump is most certainly NOT colluding with them. This is s worn out liberal tactic again rearing its ugly head.

No one is making that argument. Move on.

Like the Democratic Party is anywhere near this competent!

I believe the “deflectors“ on Star Trek steered shots away from the ship.

They both have a right to raise their objections in the courts.
And Trump is free to undermine confidence in our elections before the election. That doesn't mean he should.
This place is going to be so ugly two months from now.
