Not against them, just no longer subsidizing them.Sure just join the rest of the world that is against Israel and see how that works out.
I can think of a lot more subsidies to cut first. Not supporting them is at least on some level being against them. Not against them, just no longer subsidizing them.
I can think of a lot more subsidies to cut first.
It’s really not.Not supporting them is at least on some level being against them.
When most of world is against Israel it really is a very poor choice for us not to support them .They’re our largest recipient of foreign aid, and a wealth self sustaining country, what better place to start?

You said there going to be ok regardless so why not save some money? When most of world is against Israel it really is a very poor choice for us not to support them .
Genesis 12:1 Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:You said there going to be ok regardless so why not save some money?
Keeping in mind, Israel actually does have a budget surplus (and is able to provide service to their citizenry that we don't even get from our own government), so while I've provided plenty of nuanced defenses of Israel in this thread, the money aspect is one of the areas where I actually agree with some of the others.I can think of a lot more subsidies to cut first. You make good financial arguments but this country has not operated with physical responsibility in a very long time. If we can justify millions for Ukraine, cash for Iran and all of the many other foreign endeavors IMO any argument against support for Israel is hollow rhetoric. Kamala has now promised to sign a reparations bill, where will that come from? We can spend millions on freebies for illegal aliens but not support our friend in the Middle East, sorry I am not buying your argument.Keeping in mind, Israel actually does have a budget surplus (and is able to provide service to their citizenry that we don't even get from our own government), so while I've provided plenty of nuanced defenses of Israel in this thread, the money aspect is one of the areas where I actually agree with some of the others.
We don't need to go into debt to provide blank checks to a country that has a healthy surplus.
If I had $1,000 of my own in cash (and my own credit cards that didn't currently have a balance on them), would it be right for me to ask you to use $1300 of your available credit line (when you're already in debt) to help me with a $1300 car repair? Or should I be using my $1000 and $300 on my own credit card first?

If Israel didn't have the financial ability to pay for their own stuff, then your rationale would make sense. You make good financial arguments but this country has not operated with physical responsibility in a very long time. Genesis 12:1 Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:
2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
We have a 10 year agreement with Israel. We do give aid but they also BUY weapons from us. Write your congressman if you are dissatisfied. We NEED to help support Israel. Sorry you disagree but you are wrong. If Israel didn't have the financial ability to pay for their own stuff, then your rationale would make sense.
However, since they do, the financial aspect of their defense is currently a non-issue.
It's like someone asking others for help with their car insurance bill on their 2nd corvette because they don't want to sell the first one.
Asking someone else to borrow money to give to me, because I don't want to tap into my own liquid assets, isn't a good incentive structure to reinforce.
We’ve funded a good chunk of the world’s armies, it’s just coincidence that we have giant corporations who are excellent at manufacturing munitions. You make good financial arguments but this country has not operated with physical responsibility in a very long time. I'm okay with supporting Israel for the reasons I've laid out earlier in the thread. We do give aid but they also BUY weapons from us. Write your congressman if you are dissatisfied. We NEED to help support Israel. Sorry you disagree but you are wrong.
Because we have 10 year agreement would be my guess.I'm okay with supporting Israel for the reasons I've laid out earlier in the thread.
However, what you're describing isn't support, it's basically us just giving them weapons for free. If they're buying the weapons we made with the money we gave them, then that's just us giving them freebies.
I haven't suggested that we deny them arms sales or deny them operational intelligence assistance. If they have a budget surplus, why can't they purchase our weapons with their own money?
It's my understanding that we give foreign aid to various countries. Usually in the form of money. Whether they are at war or not. If you ask.me they can use that money to buy whatever they need when they need it. Which would include weapons.I'm okay with supporting Israel for the reasons I've laid out earlier in the thread.

@Vambram @DanthemailmanYou can take that up with the God of the Bible and creator of the universe. I believe according to scripture God has a very different opinion.
You're quoting a source which says it is unreliable. You don't have to take just my word for it...
No link - no reference. Not sure where your table comes from - Instagram?Or the Red Cross reports
This is a link to the video of the picture you see.Or, how about just actual pictures of it happening?

(children being bunched up near a mortar)
No, that's just people standing on a rooftop. The rest is conjecture, or considering your previous picture, a straight up fabrication.![]()
(children and civilians on top of the building of the residence of a Hamas leader)
No link - lemme guess - Instagram?Or how about Hamas's own words?
(per a report from NATO)
More plagiarism from Wikipedia.Hamas MP Fathi Hamed stated that "For the Palestinian people, death has become an industry, at which women excel...the elderly excel at this...and so do the children. This is why they have formed human shields of the women, the children."[89] Following the release of the Goldstone Report, the former commander of the British forces in Afghanistan Colonel Richard Kemp was invited to testify at the UN Human Rights Council 12th Special Session that during Operation Cast Lead, Israel encountered an "enemy that deliberately positioned its military capability behind the human shield of the civilian population".[90]
Your understanding is wrong. It's my understanding that the Jewish faith doesn't have the same concept of "Hell" as Christians do.
Your support of Israel makes sense then.I'm not, I'm an atheist (per my profile indicator on the left hand side)
I give you a link to a book by an Israeli Jewish Historian - You give me nada. No sources - just suppose to take the word of an Atheist. You are being redirected...
It would appear that 3/4 of Palestinians hold views about Jews that would be considered appalling if espoused by a right-wing entity in the US. And Palestinian leaders have repeatedly declined two-state offers, and Arafat in particular saying that "any peace talks are temporarily until the destruction of Israel can be realized"
Zero. How many times have two-state solutions been put on the table
No. Once again, you're not reading.Basically what you're proposing is that if Israel laid down its weapons and completely got out of Gaza, there would be no more war in the middle east?
