Yes God talks to me in other ways such as guiding me towards just KNOWING what is truth, it's quite difficult to explain.
Lone Ranger, I get it. That is a dangerous path,

Should she trust yours?
She should trust someone besides herself. As part of the Catholics faith Community we get a long line of scripture commentary to help us.

QV please:

Unlike our faith in a family member, a friend or any other human being, our Christian faith compels us to entrust ourselves “wholly to God and to believe absolutely what he says. It would be futile and false to place such faith in a creature” (ccc 150), even in a sinless creature like the Blessed Virgin Mary!

That must make life hard not trusting any person at any time.

I pray & God answers, its not about trusting anyone but who & at the mo God tells me not to trust those in power.

(And what has it to do with the question of clarification I asked about "remote policy options"

Solutions my dear Watson..............

I have, twice now.

You've done no such thing.

You said that you yourself trust God, in whatever form He takes for you, but that doesn't mean that should apply to science in any way at all, especially when we're talking about the study of God's creation. The world He made.

Because your view on 'trusting God' does not match the same as others 'trusting God', which means that even if they do trust God but do so in the respect that Bible is not a literal work of literature and the world does not conform to literal reading of the Bible, then you're still going to call any scientist dishonest.

Hi there,

As a believer, I've often pondered how science and faith intersect,, especially when it comes to understanding life itself.

How do we reconcile scientific discoveries with our Christian beliefs: ?? For example, the theory of evolution or the Big Bang--concepts that seem to challenge the biblical account of creation. Yet,, many Christians find that science enhances their faith,, revealing the intricacies of God's creation.
How do you approach this balance: ?? Do you see science as a tool to better understand God's work,, or do you find certain scientific ideas conflict with your faith: ?? Let's explore how we can embrace both faith and science in our journey to understand the world and our place in it. You can also read this https://medium.com/@pkajjohnson/science-and-faith-in-harmony-contemplations-on-a-distilled-doxology-cissp/

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and experiences on this fascinating topic...! :)

Thanks,

I think science enhances faith. Just like we intuitively see God in His creation of the macroworld we will see His handywork in the micro world as well. Having a closer look will only magnify Him because we begin to see the depth and complexity of His creation.

Being created I think we should expect to find Gods order everywhere. Even if at first we cannot see it. Though people say science is neutral and just talking measures of objective reality I think we cannot do science without the subject and observing influencing things.

Science is really a tool to measure one aspect of reality. But its easy for many to make the additional step metaphysically to say that naturalism is reality and all there is. No need for a God.

Thus the evidence is seen differently. Genetic codes are a program of nature that evolved, the cosmos came about by the BB and Inflation. The theory is also the answer, the cause without God. Not realising that in all these ideas are laws and order that cannot be reduced to the physical processes.

So I guess its how you see things, the fundemental metaphysical position you have as to whether you see Gods creation or just bits of matter out there.

Or you could simply say, in simple and plain English, what you believe that scientists should do for you to stop calling them 'dishonest'. There is that.

Your question touches on a topic that many believers grapple with—how to reconcile faith with science. It’s a profound journey of understanding that can deepen both our spiritual and intellectual lives.

Personally, I see science and faith as two sides of the same coin, each offering different perspectives on the same truth. Science helps us understand the how of creation, revealing the incredible complexity and order in the universe. When we study the laws of physics, the intricacies of biology, or the vastness of space, it can lead to a greater appreciation for the Creator who set everything into motion. For me, scientific discoveries don't diminish God's role; they magnify it.

The theory of evolution, for example, can be challenging because it seems to conflict with a literal interpretation of the Genesis creation account. But many Christians find a way to see evolution as a process that God could use to bring about the diversity of life on Earth. Similarly, the Big Bang theory can be seen not as a contradiction to the idea of God creating the universe, but as a scientific explanation for the moment of creation itself—an event that points back to the ultimate Cause.

That said, there are certainly areas where science and faith seem to conflict. In those moments, it’s important to remember that our understanding—whether of the Bible or of scientific theories—is always growing. Humility is key. We don’t have all the answers, and that’s okay. Our faith doesn’t require us to have it all figured out; it invites us to trust in a God who does.

In my own journey, I’ve found that embracing both faith and science enriches my understanding of the world and deepens my relationship with God. It’s like seeing the beauty of a painting and also appreciating the skill of the artist. Both perspectives are valuable, and together they form a more complete picture.

I’d love to hear how others approach this balance as well. How do you navigate these waters? Do you find that science strengthens your faith, or are there areas where the tension feels unresolved?

Science are one of the most honest professions I have encountered. Your denigration of them as lairs is disturbing and revealing. Similarly revealing is that you fail to defend your position and speak in clouded and obscured language.
