  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Eph 2:
8 For it is by GRACE [God’s remarkable compassion and favor drawing you to Christ] that you have been saved [actually delivered from judgment and given eternal life] through faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [not through your own effort], but it is the [undeserved, gracious] gift of God;

9 not as a result of [your] works [nor your attempts to keep the Law], so that no one will [be able to] boast or take credit in any way [for his salvation].
(MY NOTE: Vrs 8, By GRACE (undeserved/unmerited/earned favor) are you SAVED (from sins required wage/DEATH) thru FAITH (in Who Jesus is (God the Son) & what He accomplished on the cross. Vrs 9, No boastful personal works involved. Jesus (praise His Name) did ALL the work)

2 Tim 1:9 for He delivered us and saved us and called us with a holy calling [a calling that leads to a consecrated life—a life set apart—a life of purpose], not because of our works [or because of any personal merit—we could do nothing to earn this], but because of His own purpose and grace [His amazing, undeserved favor] which was granted to us in Christ Jesus before the world began [eternal ages ago],
(MY NOTE: Delivered from sin's wage is, NOT, on the merit on any personal works. But, because of His own purpose & GRACE which was granted/given to us thru FAITH in Christ' sacrificial sin atoning death on the cross.)

Rom 4:25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.
(MY NOTE: Thru the POWER of Christ's resurrection! Every believer Past-Present-Future is Justified/Saved/Judicially Declared Righteous by God)

Titus 3:
5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;

7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
(MY NOTE: The believer is Justified/Saved by the GRACE of God! NOT, by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy He SAVES us)

Titus 2:11 For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people.
(MY NOTE: GRACE has a name, it's Jesus the Christ!)

God’s GRACE isnt deserved, cannot be earned, nor can it be accessed thru any personal works. GRACE is a God given FREE GIFT (Rom 3:24, 4:16, 5:1-2,15, 11:6, Eph 2:5 & 8) & is accessed thru FAITH. FAITH placed in who Jesus is (God the Son) & what He accomplished on the cross. Sins ordinance/law levied/required wage (DEATH Rom 6:23).

Conversion is a finished transaction. When Christ baptizes the believer with His Forever (Jn 14:16) Indwelling Holy Spirit (only Christ preforms this spiritual baptism. The believers salvation is sealed & forever preserved.

ALL the believers sins Past-Present-Future are imputed onto Christ & the believer (thru FAITH) placed in who Jesus is (God the Son) & what He accomplished on the cross (paying sins required wage/price DEATH Rom 6:23) completely pardoned/forgiven.

SALVATION/ETERNAL LIFE SECURE

Mark 1:8 I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost.
(MY NOTE: He shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost. Also see Mat 3:11, Lk 3:16 & Jn 1:33)

Christ's Holy Spirit, "eternal sealing's/NT/Body of Christ" doesn't begin until after Jesus death & resurrection:

Jn 7:39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

2 Tim 1:14 Refers to the Holy Spirit as a Good Deposit.

2 Cor 5:5, Eph 1:14 & 2 Cor 1:22. Refer to the Holy Spirit as "the earnest" = Deposit or Pledge.

Eph 1:13, 2 Cor 1:22 & Eph 4:30 Refer to the Holy Spirit as a Seal.

2 Tim 1:14 The Holy Spirit who dwells within us, guard the good deposit entrusted to you
(MY NOTE: The Holy Spirit dwelling within us <PRESENT TENSE). Is God's good deposit)

2 Cor 5:5 God, who also hath given unto us the "earnest" of the Spirit
(MY NOTE: Cor written to believers: God has <PAST TENSE, given/DONE DEAL)

2 Cor 1:22 Who hath also "sealed us" & "given the earnest" of the Holy Spirit in our hearts
(MY NOTE: God has given <PAST TENSE/DONE DEAL > Holy Spirit. His DEPOSIT/PLEDGE/PROMISE & SEAL, until the soon coming day of our final redemption)

Eph 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
(MY NOTE: The gospel of your salvation: you believed & were <PAST TENSE > sealed/DONE DEAL with God's salvation sealing Holy Spirit promise)

Eph1:14 Which is the "earnest" of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession
(MY NOTE: The Holy Spirit by which only Christ baptizes/seals & indwells us. Is God's earnest = a down payment/pledge)

1 Jn 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
(MY NOTE: Know that you HAVE (< present tense). If one can lose eternal like, then it was never eternal)

Heb 9:12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
(MY NOTE: Christ via the offering of his own sinless blood, entered once into heaven holy place & obtained ETERNAL REDEMPTION for us.)

Heb 13:20 Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,
(MY NOTE: This new sin management blood covenant is EVERLASTING! Not just 1 year or until the next time to stumble or fall)

Heb 9:15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

ALL the believers sins Past-Present-Future are imputed onto Christ- completely pardoned/forgiven.
Romans 3:25 "Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in His blood, to declare His righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;"

It does not state, present and future.

Christ did not die so someone could keep sinning willfully the rest of their lives. So someone will have to achieve repentance for any future sins they have committed. It just means that we have the propitiation for those sins. And repentance can take time with certain things in our lives. But we can't just say we are "saved and leave it at that. We all fall short but again we are to put on the "new man" and and always strive for Father's will, not our own. "Wanting to put the spirit over the flesh" That's what true repentance is. Works come from the heart "naturally" at that point. Not because one feels they have to. He is that sacrifice for one and all time but repentance still has to come into play. It just means that his blood still counts for those future sins if one has repented.
Jesus (praise His Name) did ALL the work)
Grace has been bestowed on us freely yes, but you left out verse 10 which states that God has created us in Christ for the purpose of "good works".

Ephesians 2:10 "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them."

These works come from the heart because God created us that way and preordained that we should walk in them.

A Christian should never feel like they are working for salvation when good works come from their hearts naturally. If good works aren't being produced out of that faith and the fact that we are God's workmanship for that purpose than someone needs to do some soul searching because obviously repentance (thinking differently) has not set in.

Matthew 7:21 "Not every one that saith unto Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of My Father Which is in heaven."

I John 1:6 "If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

I John 1:7 "But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin."

There's a condition there -"if we walk in the light"

I John 1:8 "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

I John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

We talk about belief in Christ but we have to believe in what he taught, that's part of it. It's believing in his ministry, etc. Because how is one believing on/in Christ if they don't believe what he taught?

In his letters to the churches in Revelation who were indeed believers, some were still in danger of having their names blotted out/second death except they repent. We cannot go against Christ's own teachings.

If one continues to abide and believe in Christ for their salvation (all of it, his work on the cross, his ministry, etc) until the end, then, yes, one certainly has eternal life. But there is such a thing as apostasy -departing from the faith.

It's not about trying to keep the law. It's about loving God with all your heart, soul and mind and loving your neighbor as yourself. All of the law hangs on those two and those should come naturally after one has become a Christian and should be written in our hearts. When we fall short of that, we repent and get back on the path. And we get back on the path because we "want" to. That's what repentance is.

If someone isn't thinking differently they have not repented. Again, falling short or missing the mark is completely different than someone stating they are saved and goes on and lives their lives exactly as they did before. That's just lip service, not true change that comes from Christ abiding in someone.

(MY NOTE: Know that you HAVE (< present tense). If one can lose eternal like, then it was never eternal)
If someone continues to believe and abides in Christ it is eternal. If someone falls away and departs from that, they no longer have eternal life. Christ makes this point in his letters to the churches when some are in danger of losing their eternal life.

Revelation 3:5 "He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels."

Names can be blotted out of the book of life.

Apostasy is not about non believers. It is about believers departing from the faith, from God, etc.

16 & God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life
(MY NOTE: BELIEVERS in the Son HAVE < Present tense > EVERYLASTING LIFE! If the next time you don't endure, abide, or commit a sin, can have you exiled/thrown away. Then God's Eternal Life scripture promises, are is a LIE!)

Believers HAVE Eternal Life

39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
(MY NOTE: Christ the most faithful to ever live. Died for all the believers sins confessed, unconfessed, past, present, future. Jause rose from the grave (Fathers receipt: SINS REQUIRED WAGE/PAYMENT ACCEPTED!)

Romans 11:29 The "gifts" & calling of God are """irrevocable"""
(MY NOTE: When Christ places His Holy Spirit in You. ITS a DONE/ETERNAL DEAL!)

Eph 4:
4 There is one body [of believers] and one Spirit—just as you were called to one hope when called [to salvation]
(MY NOTE: One body/church, one Spirit/Holy Spirit)

5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism,
Bible source link:
(MY NOTE: One Lord/Jesus, one baptism/Holy Spirit [No Water used] & one faith/The faith OF Christ [Gal 2:16, 2:20, 3:22, Rom 3:22] & ALL those that place their faith His sin atoning death & resurrection)

1 Cor 12:13 For by one [Holy] Spirit we were all baptized into one body, [spiritually transformed—united together] whether Jews or Greeks (Gentiles), slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one [Holy] Spirit [since the same Holy Spirit fills each life].
Bible source link: 1 - - Bible Gateway Corinthians+12&version=AMP
(MY NOTE: Only Christ baptizes with the Holy Spirit [Matt 3:11, Lk 3:16, Mk 1:8, Jn 1:33]. Through this spiritual baptism ALL believers are transformed & united together. One Church/the Body of Christ. (1 Cor 10:16,17, 12:12,25,26,27, Rom 12:4-5, Col 1:18, 1:24, 2:19, 3:15, Eph 4:4,11,13,15,16 5:23,29,30, Gal 3:27)

Col 2:11 In Him you were also circumcised with a circumcision not made with hands, but by the [spiritual] circumcision of Christ in the stripping off of the body of the flesh [the sinful carnal nature]
(MY NOTE: This is the [Deut 30:6] foretold New Covenant. A spiritual circumcision of the human heart. Preformed by the Lord Himself without hands or without water)

Jn 14:16 And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another [c]Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), to be with you forever
(MY NOTE: The Comforter = Christ's Holy Spirit will abide with/in us FOREVER!)

Summery,
Through Faith & faith alone placed in Christs death [sins required wage/DEATH -Rom 6:23- PAID] burial [Proof Jesus died] & resurrection [Father God's receipt, sins required wage received & accepted] [See 1 Cor 15:1-4] The believer is sealed/saved & Forever secure! Thank you Lord Jesus)

Rom 3:
22 This righteousness of God comes through faith in Jesus Christ for all those [Jew or Gentile] who believe [and trust in Him and acknowledge Him as God’s Son]. There is no distinction,
(MY NOTE: Righteousness comes through faith placed in Jesus sin atoning work. Not thru our self-works of any kind)

23 since all have sinned and continually fall short of the glory of God,

24 and are being justified [declared free of the guilt of sin, made acceptable to God, and granted eternal life] as a gift by His [precious, undeserved] grace, through the redemption [the payment for our sin] which is [provided] in Christ Jesus,
(MY NOTE: Believers in Jesus sin atoning work are declared free of the guilt of sin, made acceptable to God & granted eternal life via the Fathers GIFT of grace)

25 whom God displayed publicly [before the eyes of the world] as a [life-giving] sacrifice of atonement and reconciliation (propitiation) by His blood [to be received] through faith. This was to demonstrate His righteousness [which demands punishment for sin], because in His forbearance [His deliberate restraint] He passed over the sins previously committed [before Jesus’ crucifixion].

26 It was to demonstrate His righteousness at the present time, so that He would be just and the One who justifies those who have faith in Jesus [and rely confidently on Him as Savior].

27 Then what becomes of [our] boasting? It is excluded [entirely ruled out, banished]. On what principle? On [the principle of good] works? No, but on the principle of faith.

28 For we maintain that an individual is justified by faith distinctly apart from works of the Law [the observance of which has nothing to do with justification, that is, being declared free of the guilt of sin and made acceptable to God].
(MY NOTE: Believers in Jesus sin atoning work are justified/declared righteous & made acceptable to the Father. Through faith distinctly apart from works of the Law!)

Rom 5:

19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:
[The law entered to magnify, exposing sin. God's grace & forgiveness far exceeds the laws sin judgement]

Vine's Expository Dictionary of New Testament Words: Abound

Where sin ABOUNDS GRACE SUPER ABOUNDS

Eph 1:
7In Him we have redemption [that is, our deliverance and salvation] through His blood, [which paid the penalty for our sin and resulted in] the forgiveness and complete pardon of our sin, in accordance with the riches of His grace
(MY NOTE: Thru His BLOOD He DID the WORK. We HAVE forgiveness & complete pardon from ALL our sin)

13 In Him, you also, when you heard the word of truth, the good news of your salvation, and [as a result] believed in Him, were stamped with the seal of the promised Holy Spirit [the One promised by Christ] as owned and protected [by God].

14 The Spirit is the [e]guarantee [the first installment, the pledge, a foretaste] of our inheritance until the redemption of God’s own [purchased] possession [His believers], to the praise of His glory.
(MY NOTE: Written to believers [Eph 1:2]. When you heard about Christs sin atoning death & reeurrection. And believed, you were ""stamped & sealed"" with Christ's FOREVER indwelling Holy Spirit.

Find Bible dictionary definitions on Seal & Earnest below.

Vine's Expository Dictionary of New Testament Words: definition - Seal

Vine's Expository Dictionary of New Testament Words [ 1,,G728, arrabon ] - Earnest
originally, earnest-money" deposited by the purchaser and forfeited if the purchase was not completed, was probably a Phoenician word, introduced into Greece. In general usage it came to denote "a pledge" or "earnest" of any sort; in the NT it is used only of that which is assured by God to believers; it is said of the Holy Spirit as the Divine "pledge" of all their future blessedness, 2 Corinthians 1:22; 2 Corinthians 5:5; in Ephesians 1:14, particularly of their eternal inheritance. In the Sept., Genesis 38:17-Genesis 38:18, Genesis 38:20. In modern Greek arrabona is an "engagement ring."

People are free to believe & live their personal convictions. Ultimately we will all stand before Him & give a personal account. What I believe won't change your fate, nor, will your belief change mine. My we all choose wisely!

Titus 3:
5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
Is it accessed be me by my faith, or. . . does it operate itself through my faith?

(MY NOTE: Christ sinless payment REDEEMED believers/saints from Mosaic laws sin punishment & has obtained scriptures promise of an ETERNAL inheritance)

Heb 10:14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
(MY NOTE: Christ PERFECTED FOREVER those that are sanctified)

If the next time you don't endure, abide, or commit a sin, can have you exiled/thrown away. Then God's Eternal Life scripture promises, are is a LIE!)
It is not a lie if we believe in Christ, his ministry, as well as the entire Word of God.

II John 9 "Whosoever transgresseth and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son."

Belief and trust in Christ for one's salvation means we have to believe it all as I posted before. Not only part of it. We have to take the bible as whole.

That whosoever believeth in Jesus should not perish, but have eternal life
This is certainly true but again, believing in Jesus includes believing what he taught. And he certainly taught repentance. To say otherwise would be a lie.

NOT just until time you commit a sin)
Also, there is a huge difference between falling short, missing the mark, etc. and habitual sin -continuing to live in sin without caring. That's my point. If someone is the latter than they have not truly repented yet.

Thankfully God is the heart knower.

John 3:
15 That whosoever believeth in Jesus should not perish, but have eternal life.
(MY NOTE: Whoever believes in Jesus >HAS< (present tense) eternal life.)

Believers HAVE Eternal Life
John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son "hath" everlasting life & he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him
(MY NOTE: Whoever BELIEVES on Jesus "HAS" < Present tense > EVERYLASTING LIFE! """Everlasting life""" NOT just until time you commit a sin)

John 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
(MY NOTE: I give unto them "Eternal Life", they shall never perish. Not until the next time to don't confess & repent.)

John 11:26 Jesus said; whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?
(MY NOTE: Jesus said; whoever lives & believes in Him shall never die. I believe Him! Sadly SOME DON'T)

Acts 2:21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
(MY NOTE: Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Nothing beyond Faith needed)

Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
(MY NOTE: Confess Jesus as Lord & believe He was raised from the dead. He bought & paid for ALL your sin on the cross. His God blood is a perpetual sin cleanser)

Romans 10:11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
(MY NOTE: Whoever NEVER SINS AGAIN or confesses every lifelong sin? NO! Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.)

Romans 8:
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

[ B-2,Verb,G5248, huperperisseuo ]
a strengthened form of No. 1, signifies "to abound exceedingly," Romans 5:20, of the operation of grace;

When you heard about Christs sin atoning death & reurrection.

SCRIPTURE DECLARES ONCE SAVED/SEALED ALWAY'S SAVEDSEALED!
I would refer those trapped in salvation doctrine based on works, to the Parable of the Sower. At some point ALL be drawn (Jn 12:32) to the ultimate truth. That Jesus is Lord, God & Savior/Redeemer of ALL that will accept Him by FAITH! Yet, many will HEAR, resist/reject & deny Him.

1 John 2:19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.

I would refer those trapped in salvation by works
It's not about salvation by works it's about producing good works from the heart after one has achieved repentance because one "wants" to. That is the point.

It sounds as if you don't believe this verse-

Ephesians 2:10 "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them."

Meaning God created us for good works and that we should walk in them.

Now there might be many that believe they have to work for their salvation but genuine faith produces good works, how can it not?? We are to love God with all our heart, soul and mind and love our neighbor as our self. If one is doing those two things, naturally good works would spring from that. People get caught up on the word "works" it could be something simple as holding the door for someone, helping someone in need, etc. And of course planting seeds when the moment presents itself. What true Christian doesn't do those things out of the goodness of their heart? It's not working for salvation it's being the person God created us to be in in Christ.

Another verse that goes hand in hand with this-

Philippians 2:13 "For it is God Which worketh in you both to will and to do, of His good pleasure

Thankfully God is the heart knower.
Not only that, you have described the sin for which there is no sacrifice (forgiveness), "high-handed" sin (Nu 15:30). . .because you reject the remedy, the only thing that can save you, repentance.

Genuine FAITH will produce good works.

Acts 11:18 When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life
(MY NOTE: God has GRANTED via His Holy Spirit these BELIEVING gentiles the ability to change direction: from unbelief to belief & from ungodly works to godly works)

Rom 2:4 Or despisest thou the riches ""of his goodness"" and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that ""the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance""?
(MY NOTE: It's thru the GOODNESS of God, NOT, thru OUR OWN great (Cain-like) self-works. Be it obedience, self-control etc. It's salvations seal of Christ's indwelling eternal life giving Holy Spirit (accessed by FAITH - Rom 5:1-2) that leads one to change their adamic nature thinking, outlooks & direction).

Rom 1:5 "Through him we received grace" & apostleship "to call all the Gentiles to the obedience" "that comes from faith" for his name’s sake.
(MY NOTE: NT Believers are lead to obedience & good works thru FAITH, for His names sake)

Rom 16:26 but now revealed and made known through the prophetic writings by the command of the eternal God, ""so that all the Gentiles might come to the obedience"" ""that comes from faith""
(MY NOTE: Obedience comes from FAITH & is enable by the Holy Spirit)

When Faith s root, obedience is the Fruit!

Anyone that believes they can conquer their own sin nature (via self-works - of anyking), without the Holy Spirit's help is mistaken.

Reguarding salvation there is only one act of repentance that decides one's ultimate fate. Repenting from unbelief in the Son, to, FAITH in the Son & the sacrificial sin atoning WORK He accomplished on the cross.

One unforgiveable sin: Reject the Holy Spirit when it draws you to the Lord Jesus.

Jn 12:32 Jesus said; if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw "all" men unto me.
(MY NOTE: Jesus was lifted up on a cross & from the grave & will draw "ALL" to Himself)

Matt 12:31 Jesus said; All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
(MY NOTE: Christ via His Holy Spirit draws ALL. Everyone has a choice, except & believe or reject & deny: Don't believe in Christ's sin atoning death & resurrection. Continued rejection until life's end, results in eternal separation (2 Thes 1:9) from our creator God)

John 16:
7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
(MY NOTE: The Comforter/Holy Spirit is given by FAITH placed in Jesus Finished sin atoning WORK)

8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
(MY NOTE: The Holy Spirit will reprove/expose/convict everyone of, sins? NO of "SIN" singular.)

9 Of sin, because they believe not on me;
(MY NOTE: Unbelief is the ONE sin that hangs eternal.)

Actually, the sovereign rebirth of the Holy Spirit is the source of, not the result of, that faith which saves (Jn 3:3-5).
Rom 1:5 "Through him we received grace" & apostleship "to call all the Gentiles to the obedience" "that comes from faith" for his name’s sake.

However, only those who have been born again are able to accept, for one cannot even see (Jn 3:3-5) or understand (1 Co 2:14) the things of God apart from the Holy Spirit, because such things are foolishness to them (1 Co 2:14).
Don't believe in Christ's sin atoning death & resurrection. Continued rejection until life's end, results in eternal separation (2 Thes 1:9) from our creator God)

Eph 2:
8 For it is by GRACE [God’s remarkable compassion and favor drawing you to Christ] that you have been saved [actually delivered from judgment and given eternal life] through faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [not through your own effort], but it is the [undeserved, gracious] gift of God;

Titus 3:
5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

And the Greek word in Eph 2:8 NOT //is n a DISJUNCATIVE PARTICLE NEGATIVE and means NEVERRRRRRRRRRR FROM WORKS

Never from works .

And that Greek word NOT //OU is also DISJUNCATIVE PARTICLE NEGATIVE and also means NEVER FROM WORKS , EVER .

This means salvation is by Rom 10:9 and 10 and Eph 2:8 , period !!

Eph 2:
8 For it is by GRACE [God’s remarkable compassion and favor drawing you to Christ] that you have been saved [actually delivered from judgment and given eternal life] through faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [not through your own effort], but it is the [undeserved, gracious] gift of God;

Titus 3:

Galatians 3:26-28 ESV

For in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

Everything is in and through Jesus ..... EVERYTHING!! We believe (faith) He will do ALL that He promised to do ... and He will.

I would like to note some context, and do a translation comparison.

For it is by grace that you have been saved through faith. And that not of yourselves.
Eternal life is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one will be able to boast.
Because we are Gods creation created in Christ Jesus for good works,
which God has before prepared that we should walk in them.
Ephesians 2:8-10

In many Bibles we will see "it is" in italics, denoting that it's an added in phrase,
above I have replaced "it is" with "Eternal life", to fit with your translation.

So Paul is saying that we go to heaven regardless of our works, because God created us for good works?
How do you deal with verse 10 in your view?

In Hebrews 10:29 The Holy Spirit is called, "the Spirit of grace".
And in Acts 2:38 Peter says we receive "the gift of the Holy Ghost".
Given that context I feel safe using "Holy Spirit" for "it is" in Ephesians, let us see how that will work.

For it is by grace that you have been saved through faith. And that not of yourselves.
The Holy Spirit is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one will be able to boast.
Because we are Gods creation created in Christ Jesus for good works,
which God has before prepared that we should walk in them.
Ephesians 2:8-10

The whole thing fits and makes perfect sense.
We get the Holy Spirit for free by grace, so that we can work.

"I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that you walk worthy of the calling wherewith you have been called"
Ephesians 4:1

Indeed the rest of the book starting from chapter 4 is generally a literal list of rules.
It simply can not be that Paul was saying that there are no rules to follow.

Not by works of righteousness which we have done,
but according to His mercy He saved us,
by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
Which He shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior;

Titus 3:4-5

Of how much worse punishment suppose ye
shall he be counted worthy,
who has trodden down the Son of God
and has counted the blood of the covenant
wherewith he was sanctified, and unholy thing,
and has insulted the Spirit of grace?
Hebrews 10:29

You have been bought with a price,
therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit which are Gods.
1 Corinthians 6:20

You are the temple of God, the Spirit of God is in you.
If anyone defiles the temple of God, him will God destroy,
because the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.
1 Corinthians 3:16-17
