I will pray over these men who died for the US. These soldiers had all of their lives ahead of them, with most of them being in their early to mid-20s.![]()
You are not forgotten.
Ah yes, thank you.I will pray over these men who died for the US. These soldiers had all of their lives ahead of them, with most of them being in their early to mid-20s.
For context (as three years ago was a long time ago), these 13 men are the soldiers who died at the end of the Afghan war in Kabul, AF during an explosion in August 2021, @Nithavela . I had to do a reverse image search as well, as I did not follow the news that much in 2021:
You are welcome, brother. There was way too much death at the end of the Afghan war, and none of this should have happened. Prayers that no country has to go to war anymore. Probably there will be wars until Jesus returns, but prayers for less war.Ah yes, thank you.
Their senseless deaths certainly are not forgotten. Just like all the other senseless deaths at the end of the Afghan war.
Marginalize it. That always helps.Ah yes, thank you.

Who can forget how Biden honored them?I pray for these military members and their families.
I also thank God President Biden had the courage to leave--after the two previous presidents didn't. All three knew it would never be seamless. Only Biden did what was necessary.
Let us remember that civilians were given six months' notice to leave. If they didn’t heed the warning, they must bear some responsibility.
And so, amidst our sorrow, we must remember Biden's courage prevented more deaths from occurring..
Even SNOPES doesn't believe that line.He "appeared" to look at his watch. Wow! Struggling to.find fault again.
Most people have smart watches now. He might have been checking his heart rate. He might have gotten an "urgent" text (telling his secretary only to interrupt ic it was urgent.) His blood sugar might have been high or low. Who knows?
I wonder if they'll be remembered much before 2028.I cant get away from the feeling that theres an election time subtext being spoken here.
Well, I only joined here in August 2023, so I do not remember if anyone here made a post about the 2nd anniversary of the end of the Afghan war back then. But yes, society may soon move on from this news by 2028. In 2031, a 10-year memorial may be held, but I am not sure what will happen then.I wonder if they'll be remembered much before 2028.
In fact, I can't remember a thread like this from last year...
Yeah there's a hundred other similar events that were ignored here because they couldn't be spun to make a political opponent look bad at the right time.Well, I only joined here in August 2023, so I do not remember if anyone here made a post about the 2nd anniversary of the end of the Afghan war back then. I do agree there. We can honor the lives of those who passed away, but not have to add politics to it, though, to be honest, Fantine steered the thread into the political realm first, by bringing up politics. As a guy in the center, I am fed up with both sides bickering, when instead, we should all be praying united for the victims of this attack.Yeah there's a hundred other similar events that were ignored here because they couldn't be spun to make a political opponent look bad at the right time.
Fantine didnt need to bring it up. Just the fact that its this memorial - out of the countless others you and I and the OP person ignore here every year - at this time, speaks loud and clear.I do agree there.
