[ETA: Oops, I misread your message as why don't we know their accomplishments. The answer to your question is that there are many problems and it takes time and in many cases congressional cooperation.]

Because even with a fully functioning news media ecosystem, there are many accomplishments and problems with an administration that would not be widely known, and our media are severely broken.

Let's use a small example that is related to the Dem ticket, but not the Biden Administration. Suppose you lived in Minnesota, but didn't have any kids in the public schools. It would be perfect reasonable to not know that school lunches were free and that was an accomplishment of Gov. Walz that he was proud of and might tout in a reelection campaign. So putting it in an ad or in a campaign speech would be a perfectly reasonable thing to do. (That some would think it is bad is not the point.)

That's why a campaign would tout accomplishments. Not everyone who might vote for you knows everything.
