  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What is your favorite Kamala policy.

This is a serious question because I genuinely would like to understand why Democrats support Kamala Harris for President. So the question is simple, which of Kamala's policies are your favorite and why? Please note that answers like "because she isn't Trump" or "because she is a woman of color" are not considered official policies of the Harris caplaign. Thank you.

Adopting bi-partisan boarder proposal for a start.
Support of Ukraine and NATO also.

I'm not a democrat, but her willingness to work on passing gun reform laws that would include universal background checks, red-flag laws, and an assault weapons ban are enough to get my vote.

That issue, alone, is enough to get your vote for Kamala Harris???

There are other things VP Harris has proposed that I like, but when her opponent did nothing at all when it comes to gun reform while in office and has plans to undo recent progress on the issue if elected, then yes, that issue alone is enough for VP Harris to get my vote.

“During my four years nothing happened. And there was great pressure on me having to do with guns. We did nothing. We didn’t yield..." -- Donald Trump

"Every single Biden attack on gun owners and manufacturers will be terminated my very first week back in office, perhaps my first day..." -- Donald Trump

Unless she is copying an idea from the conservative viewpoints, there is not one single issue that Kamala Harris is pushing with which I shall ever agree.
We already have background checks before purchasing guns. A federal law which would be very restrictive coming from the Democratic Party will not succeed scrutiny from the SCOTUS. Also, I am certain that a majority of Americans in half of the states don't want restrictive federal gun control laws.

It takes four years longer than what they've already had?
Trump blew up the bipartisan deal. If Harris is elected, the Congressional Republicans know they won't get a better deal anytime soon, and should come back to the table with the deal they already agreed to.

The Senate brought out a bipartisan deal that (at the start) had enough support.

Then Trump came out against it and accepted the blame for its death.

“As the leader of our party, there is zero chance I will support this horrible, open borders betrayal of America,” Trump said on Saturday. “It’s not going to happen, and I’ll fight it all the way.”

“I notice a lot of the senators, a lot of the senators are trying to say, respectfully, they’re blaming it on me,” Trump continued. “I said ‘that’s OK, please blame it on me.’ Please, because they were getting ready to pass a very bad bill. And I’ll tell you what, a bad bill, I’d rather have no bill than a bad bill.”

If Harris is elected, then I predict that one of the last issues she will even attempt to try to solve is border security and massive illegal immigration.

Do you want something bipartisan people can own or an executive action pleasing to only one extreme?

Bipartisan doesn't magically appear. There is no reason this couldn't already have been done.

Is this the same thing proposed months ago?
That Trump told GOP to reject because he couldn't take some credit and it would be progress without him.

But we had it and Trump ordered it squashed.
