  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Massive protests expected at Chicago’s DNC; police are ready

I've been watching videos of the violence that these terrorists are unleashing all over Chicago. The MSM doesn't seem to be giving it much coverage. I would post the amateur video here but it is far too graphic.

In addition, I just watched a video of an interview of a DNC Delegate, who reported that the DNC is attempting to purge Delegates who won't walk lockstep with the rest of the Party.

22 shot, six dead in Chicago during first three days of DNC as Democrats brag crime is down

CHICAGO — The Chicago Police Department on Thursday reported 22 shootings and six homicide deaths during the first three days of the Democratic National Convention in the city this week.
While much attention has been focused on pro-Palestine demonstrations during the DNC, convention delegates have not been immune from the spate of crime. A member of the Texas delegation was robbed at gunpoint while walking in downtown Chicago on Wednesday morning.

The Windy City also endured a particularly violent weekend leading up to the convention. Over last weekend, 26 shooting incidents totaled 30 victims, including five who died, police say.

In the first three days of the DNC, according to the Chicago Police Department:

• On Monday, there were eight shootings, four of which were fatal, and an armed robbery.

• On Tuesday, there were five shootings involving 12 victims and an aggravated battery shooting.

• On Wednesday, there were nine shootings involving 12 victims, one of whom died, and a stabbing.

Crikey. America sure has a murder problem. It’s like what, an order of magnitude more prevalent than in the UK per 1000.

Besides, Trump isn't a quitter...
If his polling figures were in the toilet and lets say that it was obvious that he had some cognitive difficulties. Let's say that you had an excellent replacement that was a good bet to swing the election. Do you think Trump would step down for the good of the the party? Would he step down for the good of the country?

That question is so nonsensical a proposal that it's almost a set up for a punchline. Of course he wouldn't. And you know that as certainly as I do. You know that he's not interested in anything but himself.

So hang in there Donald. The last thing we want now is a replacement for you. I want to watch as you drag the GOP down.

That's Chicago.
And with an army of police and Secret Service on the highest level of alert, and with the National Guard standing by.
When the DNC is around, trouble follows.

Trump won the Republican primaries. The people voted for him.
Republicans don't try to force out the ones they vote in. We leave that for the Democrat elite in Washington.

Something tells me that Trump's haters wouldn't vote Republican even if Trump stepped down.
Besides, Trump isn't a quitter, but I'm sure people would just love to label him as one.
I think the people that see Trump as a danger to the Country and a disgusting person would vote for a Republican like John McCain or Mitch Romney if the Democratic Party candidate were a narcissistic, adjudicated rapist. They would hate to have a president who made it okay to support bigotry, racism, and personal attacks openly. Millions see Trump as a despicable individual because of witnesses, convictions, his words, his actions, and video and audio tapes. He said he came into dressing rooms expecting to see naked underage pageant contestants. Some believe there is evidence he sexually assaulted underage girls. I don't hate anyone, but I do hate the actions of pedophilia. I don't even believe the many Republicans and members of the Republican Party who are voting against Trump hate him. They view him as a danger like millions of others.

("Trump isn't a quitter") Decent people want to see Trump accept the 2020 election loss and quit telling people the election was stolen from them.

In fairness a great deal of terrorists were imported for out of town.

Was that in response to another post? It addressed nothing I said in mine.

Doubtful. Most of the democrats are vowing to vote for what just happens to be the 2 most extreme leftists ever to be paired up on a presidential ticket. Bread and circuses at the Convention is all it takes for some people.

I guess you were expecting me to simply agree with you.
But as I tried to educate you about; Trump was elected by the voting public, so we respect him as our candidate. The democrats simply swapped the democratically voted candidate for an alternate.

It answers your questions.
No, it didn't. I wasn't asking if someone would force him out. I asked that if it was for the good of the party, and the good of the country, would he step down.

I know lots of people have problems with hypotheticals so it wasn't a question to which I expected an answer. But I also didn't expect an answer to a question I didn't ask.

Sorry, I missed the one that answered whether he would step down.
You've been missing quite a few things. I answered you twice. I know that it means you lost the argument. So do you.

You might not like the answer; but you were answered.

Maybe I can help.

I don't think that Trump would betray his constituents, for the "good of the Party."

I don't think that Trump would betray the People who constitute this country, for the "good of the country"

Since it seems that you don't believe that he would step down over coercion, or even a bullet wound to the head; then I suppose that we agree.
