I may be misreading Yttrium's point, but Walz is the governor of the state government, not a dictator responsible for every activity that goes on in the state.

This seems to be a small government solution: staying out of people's healthcare business as they consult with their private physicians.

I don’t see how I misread it. He didn’t seem to want to be concerned until mutilation took place. But if you are for legal child abuse, then…well, never mind.

That's not really what I meant, but yours is good too.

The term "gender affirming care" always triggers social conservatives into thinking surgery. For minors it's mainly counseling, possibly hormone treatments. Any surgery typically involves removing unwanted breasts from genetic males. Oh, the horrors, the mutilation, slicing off the chests of little boys...

If they can show me that Minnesota actually has plans to do gender reassignment surgery on little kids, then I'll take the situation seriously.

Uh huh. Gender affirming care can include any of those things. The doctors recommend what they conclude is the most appropriate treatment for the situation. Gender reassignment surgery is very rarely if ever going to be appropriate for little kids.
