King James Bible
And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: Acts 2:17

I thought it would be interesting to have a Dream thread where one can tell what dreams they've had & maybe help interpreting them.

I had a dream not so long back where by I was lying in a coffin with Jesus who seemed to be dead, I remember crying and feeling so sad, but all of a sudden he came alive & talked about the number 5.

At first I put it down to the movie 'Five Alive' but now I'm not so sure ??

I dream about pianos a lot. I don’t know why.

I've had recurring dreams of tigers. They have never hurt or harmed me even though on occasion they threaten me in the dream. I have never seen a tiger in the wild, only in video or at a zoo.

A recent dream I had I was alone in a desert and came across an ancient abandoned city. It was built of some kind of black stone. The main gates were long gone and in the main entrance area was a large statue of the same black stone. The statue was a large hooded figure with open, welcoming arms. The dream ended as I got lost in the maze of ruble strewn streets trying to get to the central citadel.

That’s very interesting.

The older I get, the less dreaming I remember. But back in the day, I had variations of the "Examination" dream. I"m back in college, and I suddenly remember that I have an exam coming up. But I've never been to any of the classes, I have no notes, and I haven't read any of the material, or completed any assignments. A variation is that I'm out of town at a conference, and my flight leaves in an hour. But I don't have a ticket, I can't find my suitcase, and I have no way to get to the airport. The Examination dream is fairly common among people who've been in school for long periods of time. Even Freud wrote about. I suppose it's just the brain's way of dealing with anxiety and stress.

Before I learned to drive, I would occasionally have driving dreams but they worked magically. After I learned to drive, my driving dreams were about crashing and sometimes dying. Odd how they changed.

I have those still, along with waitress dreams. Shudder.

My dreams are usually scrambled. Occasionally, I do have a lucid dream. They're usually extra vivid, too. Though typically do not last long.
I’ve never had a lucid dream.

I’ve never had a lucid dream.
I never had one either until I heard about the existence of them. I believe my mind slowly developed a method to occasionally have them when I realized such dreams were possible.

Although at least from my experience, lucid dreams are not that great. Controlling is kind of fun, but I usually become to aware and quickly wake up. Also strangely sometimes I am self aware I am dreaming but still have no control of my actions in the dream.

Kind of amusing. One reoccurring dream I have throughout my life is that I jump about 100 feet in the air, land and run and jump again. As someone who is afraid of heights.. these kind of dreams are the worse for me. Playing No Man's Sky in VR feels really close to those kind of dreams.

Yeah, it just sounds so weird to me that it's possible. lol

Speaking of weird dreams:

I once had a dream were all in Church, my mother was in some dragon costume, a late neighbor was in an Ursula from A Little Mermaid costume, there were communion hosts everywhere.

Why would I dream that? lol

I have reoccurring dreams that I'm transferring to the Catholic high school of the town that I'm currently in...but I graduated from my small town public school 10 years ago. lol

I also have a reoccurring dream of being back in college.

Or the we never sold my childhood home.

So weird.

I didn't hear about lucid dreams until I was a teenager. Discovered some website about it, explaining how to induce it and how to keep from waking up. I thought the concept was so cool at the time. Didn't make any serious effort to do the training techniques though. I just think, over time my mind warmed up and consequently opened up to the possibilities of lucid dreaming.

Although it was several years from when I heard about them until I actually had one myself. While controlling my actions in dreams is quite rare, the older I become the more frequently I am aware of my dreams. Besides heights based dreams nightmares don't really phase me anymore. A few months ago I had a dream that I was in a ruined skyscraper with zombies roaming around. Instead of feeling scared the dream felt cozy when I was hiding in the nook and crannies of the building.

One thing I do feel weird about dreams. In real life I have trouble feeling love. Even when women say they love me, I feel nothing back. Occasionally I will have a dream about a woman.. and feel what I believe is love with her. The emotions I experience in those dreams are unlike the ones I have in real life.

Really heart breaking and painful when I wake up from them. Really makes me question my psychology.

Although, the more I rethink the rare kind of dreams.. the further I am able to reconnect to those emotions I feel during those rare dreams. Like right now, I know I had them but lost the emotional ability to recreate them in my head.

I had a dream about being in a ruined skyscraper as well. In my dream it was quite abandoned and quite old. Nothing was in it, but looking out I could tell it was not Earth. A vast dense forest with large dinosaur like creatures walking around. There were three moons in the sky. I was at least 50 to 60 stories up in the ruin. The floors and ruined stairs were hard to move around on as it was crumbling and who or what ever built the structure was taller on average than Humans. I had to use old wires, cables, and growing vines to climb down sections as I tried to get to the ground.
