Vance isn't criticizing a politician like Trump or Biden for their policies, he was criticizing the supposed lifestyle of women in a particular political party.

Such a statement as that will alienate women.

Not just women. A LOT of people under the age of, say, 45 resent the pressure to have more kids than we want / than we can afford / than we think we can manage. It's a massive sore spot.

I doubt all of them do, but this notion just reeks of a certain sort of authoritarian paternalism that's astoundingly out of touch.
