As the hymn says: "what can set me free from sin? Nothing but the Blood of Jesus." We struggle in the flesh to overcome the flesh so we know that does not work. Only the Grace of God can do a work in us to deliver us and set us free from sin and corruption.

Joy. Do you have an argument that can be accepted in the public forum of a heterogeneous society, or do you just want to your will? God is much more patient than you, apparently.

If you want to make an argument in *this* public forum of the USA, then you have to show why porn is detrimental to the individual/public welfare. I think those arguments exist, but quoting scripture is a fools errand. Anyone who does it to make their point shows they have no idea what matters, and they certainly don't know how to succeed in convincing others.

I have a book called: "The Joy of Intimacy" by Rabbi Manis Friedman. Briefly love and sex was designed to produce intimacy. In the 60's with woodstock we had free love or sex without intimacy. Porn is based on sex, not love, not intimacy. Just going from person to person and not really establishing any sort of connection. This makes people very lonely but drives them on even though their relationships do not really satisfy them.

I apologize, but this sentiment always screams out hypocrite to me. Eight billion people in the world and it surprises you that people are interested in sex. To paraphrase Shakespeare, "Methinks thou doth protest too much."

I'm pretty sure that people are still interested in the same stuff that they were interested in two thousand years ago.

I have studied this for many years. What was special about Adam and Eve and why were they husband and wife. What was God's plan and purpose in this. There is a study on the Prairie Voles that mate for life. This is all based on a hormone in the brain. The same hormone that is produced when women bond with their child.
