....otherwise, he spoke competently and convered a broad range of foreign policy topics, in depth...which is to be expected by a POTUS who was the Chair of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and served two terms as VP. His opponent didn't know what NATO was.....

Having said that, I still think Joe should step aside...and I think he will by next week.

This is self deception friend. What we would know from Biden beating Trump again is how awful Donald is as a presidential candidate. And that more Americans prefer President Biden in our Oval Office. Donald Trump earned 7,000,000 fewer votes than Joe Biden in 2020, and that was before Mr Trump was convicted of 34 criminal felonies. To convince oneself another Biden win would be proof of a fix is disrespectful to oneself and our electoral process. And sans evidence, disrespectful of truth in general.

Fear is a highly sought-after voter-motivation and could be used by the Biden team to help secure reelection by allowing the “but can he even win?” meme to percolate through the country, thus ensuring a fearful public to cast their votes according to these fears.

This is a higher plane of politicking but politicking, nonetheless.

Joe's not going anywhere unless the DNC convention turns against him and there is still time for that to happen. But that would take another disaster probably worse than his debate performance that would make even his handlers realize it can't be hidden/explained away any longer. Personally I think Trump would prefer Biden stay simply for 'revenge' purposes. I hope Biden stays because he is a 99.9% guaranteed loss. But we got 3.5 months until the election and a lot can happen between now and then so we will see.......

So Joe criticizes Trump for wanting to send Nat. Guard to Minneapolis during riots. Joe seems to appear OK with letting Minneapolis burn down and tear itself apart. Crowd does not sound very enthusiastic with Joe's approach.
