I feel the same way Scott does about what we boomers are doing to our kids. I am angry also.

Do We Love Our Kids: I agree that kids have to work harder to reap the same benefits boomers enjoy. The dollar's purchasing power is steadily decreasing for my kids, and I agree that minimum wage has not kept up. True that asset prices have skyrocketed because the Federal Reserve has kept interest rates artificially low since 2008 QE, corporations and investors can buy assets with almost free money 1-2% interest. The cost of higher education is because of the government's involvement with student loans. Why not raise prices on higher education when you know the government is backing the loans?

The Great Generational Theft: I second that, get rid of all those old clowns in government. Let the markets crash but we are pumping ONE TRILLION dollars every hundred days so the sitting president looks good. Our politicians and Americans are ignorant about economics and recessions are bad for politicians. If everyone was educated that recessions are part of an economic cycle we wouldn't be spending our kids and grandkids future but it is now political. Yes, the self-harm rate is because of the media the sensational fear-mongering leaves people with no hope. Just look at the left and right's unwarranted fears. Romantizing obesity so a fat person feels better, just tell them they will die earlier if they don't change their ways and we wonder why the death rate was so high during Covid. As far as the minimum wage goes it should be targeted at small to mega capital corporations leaving the ma and pa shops alone until they become successful. I agree that the AMT needs to be adjusted and do away with some write-offs that the rich use.

Why are you paying any attention to that Marxist diatribe when the real problem facing this country is to keep people from using the wrong bathroom? He didn't even mention the invasion of the country by "those brown people" (as Texas Governor Abbott so lovingly calls them) nor did he point out that they are mostly Roman Catholic. He's definitely "woke" and dangerous. Be careful.

Well, we all know that the video is Marxist, or at least "woke" and I agree with it. I just listed some other things that I agree with Marxists about.

There is a thread going in this forum in which a Christian poster correctly observed that grocery store prices are rising faster than inflation. Scott Galloway mentioned it too. But why? His answer was that grocery store prices are entirely controlled by a small handful of multinational corporations who are making record profits from it. That's the "woke marxist who hates America" answer. The Christian poster's answer is that it's an anti-Christian conspiracy that has nothing to do with corporations or corporate profits. I like the woke marxist answer better, that's all.

I don't limit myself by labels. I don't even know who Galloway is and I don't care what label is placed on him or his views. I know I can listen and critically think and try to put my biases away because I know my kids are hurting and grandkids will have it worse. Just pick one that the right and left can agree on and hammer it home to your man, and then we can move forward. Millennials may agree but this Boomer has the life experience and knows that our kids have it harder in today's environment.
