  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Who are the Writers of the 2025 Plan? Here they are.

Almost all of the writers of the 2025 Plan were advisors of Trump, or close
associates to Trump.

That Trump would now try to disassociate himself with them, because of the
radical and nontraditional goals of the Plan, is ridiculous.

These writers of the Plan, are Trump's guys.

Does anyone expect Trump to share any credit for the diabolical plans he's going to unleash?

Project 2025 was unknown until Biden's dismal performance in the debate. Then, the administration and democrats
are trying to pin Trump to Project 2025, which he has no part of and most Americans knew nothing of it.

The DNC has also posted lies about Project 2025 itself with the claim that they want to eliminate overtime pay for
working more than 40hrs and cutting Social Security.

In other words, once again the DNC is into mudslinging with false accusations.

A simple Google search shows it has been in the news since last year.

I follow the news every day extensively.

I knew absolutely nothing about "Project 2025" until the day after the debate. Then it began to appear on my feed, in YouTube recommendations, the NYTimes podcast, etc.

Project 2025 is NOT the GOP platform for 2025, nor is it Trump's policy platform. It is a bunch of recommendations from a conservative think-tank that has some clout, but far less clout than it did 10 years ago. The Heritage Foundation is a Neoconservative, globalist outfit which promotes free-trade, the military-industrial complex, etc.

Trump is an America-first populist who believes in tariffs, is skeptical of foreign wars and military involvement, and is absolutely not guided by religious principles

the idea that Trump is going to create a "Christo-Fascist" state using Project 2025 is utter nonsense

you need to turn off MSNBC

It's a very extremist agenda. I couldn't wade through the entire document but I did spend time on the chapter where they plan to dismantle the Department of Education. That alone would do away with national standards so that some states will end up being "dumber" than others. My state happens to finance public education at least to the minimum necessary but other states will take the philosophy of "if you can't afford an education, maybe you don't need one" which would only increase the cycle of poverty but provide low wage unskilled labor for the corporations in their state. It also seems

It looked like a Trump team document but this confirms that we are headed to a radical new way of life where the poor get poorer while the rich gets richer. I guess not so different than now but it would be the government itself that ensures that poor people stay poor. What I can't believe is how many people support this move toward dictatorship.

Alternatives do not destroy democracy. I am glad some groups put forth policies whether they work or not. This means there is at least some discussion as to what might work better. Competition is healthy, and voting is not going to be outlawed. When groups go too far they are shown the door as progressives will learn.

But not made known to the general public until after the debate and false accusations associating
Trump to Project 2025.

Not only has it been "known to the general public," but NYT has been reporting on it for over a year:

Just because you guys didn't know about it doesn't mean that it wasn't out there.

Oh the story may have been out there, but not in the mainstream media networks.

It wasn't well known until after the debate

It was being covered by the NYT, AP, NBC, ABC, CBS, MSNBC, NPR, Newsweek, and local outlets in 2023.

How much more mainstream do you want than the NY Times?

It was known amongst people who pay attention.
Hahaha! No one who is serious about learning the truth read the NYTs.

2023? No one was paying attention until after the debate when Trump was accused of being tied to it.
Maybe you weren't paying attention, but many were. Trump has always been tied to Project 2025; just do a search on this forum where it has been discussed in the past, and you will see where this is true.

Trump has his own legislative agenda which I posted above

but you can continue believing this nonsense about Project 2025

the Heritage Foundation does not define the GOP platform or Trump's agenda --they are a think-tank, and nothing more

you are falling for a really bog-tier propaganda campaign targeted to low-information voters. just stop

Says the guy who didn’t know about the issue until a year after it was being reported on by one of the most widely read newspapers on the planet.

While Project 2025 is overseen by the Heritage Foundation, there are more than 100 conservative organizations involved with it along with many of Trump's closest policy advisers.

you are falling for a really bog-tier propaganda campaign targeted to low-information voters. just stop
I understand that you only learned about Project 2025 a couple of weeks ago, and like many, you are shocked to learn about some of the extreme ideas it contains. If you will take the time to do a little more research, you will find that Project 2025 isn't just some baseless propaganda campaign and is instead a serious threat to our democracy and our American way of life.
