  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men....

Peace in Christ.

We must avoid those who do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ…who cause divisions and teach things contrary to the gospel….contrary to the truth of the gospel of which they do not understand.

We must not attend their “churches”…the denominations (divisions) of man-based, “organized” (by their church scribes’ handwritings) churches. These are those who separate themselves and do not have the Spirit.

Rom 16:17-18 KJV
(17) Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.

Those who cause divisions are charismatic speakers….speaking beautiful speeches and good words. But their words are devoid of the truth of the gospel as it is being hid from their understanding because they only serve for their own belly.

The “god of this age”….their belly that they serve for filling…has blinded their minds to the truth of the gospel. They preach with no knowledge of it….and mortally perish…and those who they “preach” to also perish in their mortal bodies to the grave without knowledge.

(18) For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.

They…. whose god they are serving is their belly…. are enemies of the cross of Christ.

They are not preaching that by keeping His “daily” sacrifice (dying to the sin) in our mortal bodies shall keep our mortal bodies alive and standing here in this earth to the very end of this age. They are denying the power of it to keep us mortally alive throughout the remainder of this age as they are not preaching it. They are not preaching the truth of the gospel....the "mystery of the gospel" which is being hid from them.

We are to be “followers together” of Paul who did work with his own hands to support his own earthly necessities. Paul did not preach for a paycheck….nor did the other original apostles as they worked “day and night” for their own necessities. Paul was a tentmaker. Jesus was a carpenter....who worked with His own hands. We are to “follow them” in their example of working with our own hands to support our own earthly necessities.

We are to mark them which walk according to the commandment of the apostles of the Lord and Savior and avoid those who do not.

Those who do not walk according to their commandment (to work with our hands and eat our own bread) do not have the understanding of the gospel as a result.

Php 3:17-19 KJV
(17) Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample.
(18) (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ:

Their “end is destruction”….destruction of their mortal bodies…when they only “serve” for their own belly while “preaching”. They are minding earthly things: preaching to get their earthly needs met.

(19) Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)

We must renounce the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the Word of God deceitfully….for our own unjust gain. We must cease “preaching” for our earthly necessities….the serving for our belly...in order to serve the Lord Jesus Christ.

How do we "commend ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God"? By working with our own hands to support our own necessities supports the "weak" consciences of the outside world as they shall see that we do not take advantage of the church of God by preaching to it for our own unjust gain.

2Co 4:2-5 KJV
(2) But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.

The gospel is being hid from those who are PERISHING….mortally perishing away to the grave without receiving an age-lasting life. “lost” = perishing.

(3) But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost (PERISHING):

The truth of the gospel ….the “glorious gospel of Christ”…is being hid from their minds because they are only preaching for a paycheck. They are hirelings only.

We must be "servants" for Jesus' sake by working with our hands to support ourselves.

(4) In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
(5) For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.

We must renounce these deceitful things.

Our Lord calls such …as shown in the calling of James and John…who were sons of “Zebedee” (meaning “gifts”). We must cease from preaching for “gifts” and follow after Him. We must cease “mending our nets” and leave the preaching for gifts….leaving that “ship” behind with the other “hired servants” who will continue to preach for their own necessities....casting their nets to feed themselves.

Mar 1:19-20 KJV
(19) And when he had gone a little further thence, he saw James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, who also were in the ship mending their nets.

(20) And straightway he called them: and they left their father Zebedee in the ship with the hired servants, and went after him.

We must forsake our “nets”…preaching for a paycheck…preaching in order to feed ourselves. We must renounce/forsake these things so that we may truly preach the gospel with understanding….making us “fishers of men”.

Mar 1:17-18 KJV
(17) And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men.

(18) And straightway they forsook their nets, and followed him.

Preaching is putting forth one's own opinion. Teaching is as Jesus and the Father did, showing us the difference between the backwards world and ways of adversarial mankind and elohim alike in comparison to the Kingdom of His Gospel. It is written and we need not add or divert.
Fishers of men do as fishermen do... pluck man out out of their earthly environment we have made in our own image and deposit them into the boat of the Kingdom.

Tell me, brother: in your sanctified opinion, is the teaching and preaching of dispensationalism (especially as taught by C.I. Scofield and Peter Ruckman) in the category of false teaching?
