I'll repeat myself:

Why do you? No-one is under any delusion that science can't be used for bad things, and the Titanic is really a dumb case of you trying to lay blame where it doesn't belong since science had nothing do with the fact that the Titanic wouldn't have sunk if it wasn't hit in just the right way to flood all of its water tight compartments in the way they were flooded versus the way the designers hoped the compartments would get flooded and still keep the ship afloat.

My son has a degree in comptuer engineering. They flunked out half of his class on a curve. But my brother is a doctor and 85% of his class graduated. They are more worried about engineers killing people than they are doctors.

Yes, I know that the Titanic was one of the top of the line ships of its day. I'm probably the last person who needs to be told that.

Why do you constantly it up, and other disasters, when you want to sanctimoniously show that science has, what you feel to be, a hidden and sordid side to it? Why must you constantly bring up things like the Titanic, the Challenger explosion, Thalidomide, and other assorted disasters, if to be nothing more than a vulture who delights in bringing up the morbid?

That has NOTHING to do with what I said at all, not relevant to what the conversation was about.

Just like there is science behind LSD, Thalidomide, the Challenger, the Titanic, and cigarettes.
Science is neutral. It can be used for good or evil. You are using a computer that can be used for good or evil. God gives us that choice. Eve was given a choice between the tree of death and destruction or the tree of life. She made the wrong choice. Life is always the right choice. Life, health, healing and the blessings of God is always the right choice to make. We are told there are angels who help us to make the right choices and devils who try to get us to make the wrong choices. But we can put all of that under the Blood of Jesus and the devils will flee from us and they will not be able to deceive us. So we are told to trust in God and not lean on our own understanding. But if you think you do not need God and you think you can figure it out yourself then good luck with that one.

That was almost certainly an undergraduate program. Slots are often limited for the advanced courses and intro courses are used to "weed out" possible applicants to the major. Most of those "flunked out" students go on to some other major with less rigorous math/science requirements.
But my brother is a doctor and 85% of his class graduated.
Those admitted to med school already have an undergraduate degree in some related science field. The med schools don't need to admit students who are incapable of passing critical courses like calculus or organic chemistry because the have their transcripts right in front of them.

I've taught pre-med students. Most of them will never be doctors.
They are more worried about engineers killing people than they are doctors.
Nope, that's not what the anecdotes you have seen are saying.

Actually that is not accurate. Today's Science adds to what we knew. It does not replace it.

So Hesperopithecus haroldcookii is still Hesperopithecus haroldcookii?

So you do not like creation science,

"Creation science" is a contradiction in terms.

God did not use a lick of science in Genesis 1.

Genesis 1 is a series of one MIRACLE after another, over a period of six days, that raised the level of mass/energy* from zero to what it is today.

* Take THAT, thermodynamics! ;)

... you want me to throw Francis Collins away. They want me to throw Jonathan Cahn away. What about Sinclair Lewis or Billy Graham or Pat Robertson or David Wilkerson. Should I throw all of their books away also?

You're asking the wrong person this.

How about Bishop Ussher, should I throw that book away also?

Okay, now you're hitting a little below the belt.

There are four secular works I cling to [pun] religiously [/pun]:

1. Bishop Ussher's chronology
2. Foxe's Book of Martyrs
3. The Trail of Blood, by J.M. Carroll
4. God's Voice in the Stars, by Ken Fleming

My aunt had a phd and taught at boston college. She said if you can get through college graduate school is easy in comparison. Which seems to be what you are saying. I was content with an associate degree level because they do all the work. I did the shop drawing from the blue prints because no one could build anything from the blue prints. They do very little of the math. Although today with the computer maybe it does all of the math for them. When I studied Trig a computer was the size of a room.

Learn about context and how your comment has nothing to do with what I and AV were talking about.
Maybe someday you will learn how to respect people instead of slamming them and putting them down. Of course if that is how you want people to treat you then go at it. You will get exactly what you are asking for.

Maybe someday you'll learn to not just jump into any and every conversation being had without knowing exactly what's being talked about, then you'll not go onto foolish diatribes that have nothing to do with what's being talked about.
Just food for thought.

Please don't equate my mindset with modern scientists today.

And while I'm wrong some of the time, I don't work as hard as scientists do to be as wrong as they are.

One big difference between me and science is:

I'm wrong some of the time ... scientists are wrong most of the time.

And in fact, they look forward to being shown wrong.

So in Genesis 2:7 the Lord God did not use DNA to formed man of dust from the ground? I mean everyone reads the chapter on sex in their science book. Even if that is the ONLY chapter they read. They never had a talk with you about the birds and the bees and where people come from?
What a snotty fellow you are, which is too bad because we are both Christians and probably agree on much. DNA doesn't have to be a language in order for God to use it. It's rather like saying, if God let rubber trees evolve instead of creating them miraculously, then automobile tires are atheistic.

Engineering has nothing to do with engineering. Ok got it.

Science loves to take credit for things like putting men on the moon, etc.

So they can just take credit for their mistakes as well.

Some time ago, someone here started a light-hearted thread about naming things scientists invented that impacted our world.

I answered with one single word and got reported and moderated.

Even though it was true.

Note: And it wasn't Thalidomide either.

Much worse.

I do what I do so that people have no problems to understand what I am saying. I actually took four teacher training classes and we studied how Jesus would teach. Of course they did get mad at Him also. I think they wanted to stone him at one point. Better off to talk nonsense so people do not know what you are saying .

You know the women love neon in their make up and nail polish so when they go out to the clubs or wherever they go and they have black lights to illuminate the ultra violent frequency.
You know that things have moved on in society and such patronising, ultimately mysoginistic remarks are well past their sell by date.

I do what I do so that people have no problems to understand what I am saying. I actually took four teacher training classes . . . .
If those training courses were of a good standard then you would do well to recall what they would have told you about listening to your audience, reflecting on it and improving your delivery.
