We are in the end times now, most certainly. We will not know the hour of Christ's return, but when He does, the devil's works will be destroyed.
If that’s party of their culture, I don’t know how that is wrong.Hawaii Public Schools have been teaching old Hawaiian paganism in K-12 for decades. They bring in pagan priests (kahuna) to teach the children pagan rituals and praise songs.
My daughter went to elementary school in Hawaii. One day she brought home the lyrics of a song she was supposed to learn for an upcoming school pageant, a hymn to the pagan god Pele. It went, "Oh, great Pele, creator of the universe, we worship and adore you....."If that’s party of their culture, I don’t know how that is wrong.
My answer would be no.My daughter went to elementary school in Hawaii. One day she brought home the lyrics of a song she was supposed to learn for an upcoming school pageant, a hymn to the pagan god Pele. It went, "Oh, great Pele, creator of the universe, we worship and adore you....."
She asked, "Do I have to learn this?"
What would have been your answer?

My wife had a discussion with the teacher, after which it was decided that my daughter and another girl would just have a reading assignment while the other children were practicing the pagan songs for the pageant. If you were opposed, then no, she wouldn’t have to learn it![]()
Good for you for at least addressing the issue. There are many things that can be considered “controversial.” Was this recent by any chance? My wife had a discussion with the teacher, after which it was decided that my daughter and another girl would just have a reading assignment while the other children were practicing the pagan songs for the pageant.
Then one day the principal noticed my daughter and the other girl sitting out the practice and chastized them. My daughter told her that she didn't have to learn the songs because she was a Christian. The principal retorted, "The other children are Christian, and they don't have a problem with it."
My daughter's only question back to us was, "Why didn't those other children have a problem with it?"
But my wife had a chat with that principal, as well.
No, it was a long time ago.Good for you for at least addressing the issue. There are many things that can be considered “controversial.” Was this recent by any chance?
Ahhh, I see.No, it was a long time ago.
Well said, we are in end times, my friend.I'm against any form of religion being part of a public school curriculum in any way. And this is why.
Here's a Newsweek article about it:
