I don't suppose that you would be willing to share more from that video instead of a 15 second clip? If what he says is so very awful, there should be more from that speech than the 15 seconds shared on X.com and blackenterprise.com

And after that, Trump immediately said "See now, the press will take that and they'll say that he said a horrible thing." He was joking around. There are times that Trump says something stupid and later claims he was joking when he obviously wasn't, but in this case, he was obviously joking. And of course some people, like the source in the OP, did exactly what he thought they would do with the joke. And it just feeds his narrative.

He was literally saying what he did not want to be like other politicians that say,

"We need every voter. I don't care about you. I just want your vote. I don't care."

He said this after claiming that he would punish drug dealers with the death penalty because he actually cares about Americans.

Considering he held a rally in Las Vegas in +100° heat in the middle of the day where 6 people ended up needing to go to a hospital and about 2 dozen others needed medical attention onsite because of the heat. I’d say he doesn’t seem to care too much about the people who love him most.

Thousands of people are running around outside all over the Strip and Downtown in that heat. Have been for decades.

I watched a melodrama video about all those poor people suffering 105° heat. That's nothing for Vegas. Besides the umpteen zillion tourists outside on days like that, residents hang out in parks, walk their dogs, attend baseball games, soccer games, go hiking etc during the summer when the average is 105° - I did plenty of all of that for 22 years there. When people pass out it's usually because they're dehydrated.

Agreed.

However, his actions demonstrate he really does not care. He scheduled an outdoor political rally in the blazing Vegas' sun when temperatures were soaring over 100 degrees.

In the Phoenix area, which is a few degrees warmer than Vegas, we do our outdoor in the early morning hours, before the thermostat climbs to over 100 degrees. And i certainly hope you didn't walk your dog in such conditions...

And before he went to Vegas, Trump again demonstrated how much he loves his followers (at least this event was indoors):

Nearly a dozen people have been taken to a hospital due to heat exhaustion while waiting in line for a Turning Point rally featuring former President Donald Trump.

Phoenix Fire officials tell ABC15 they responded to Dream City Church in north Phoenix and transported 11 people after reports of heat exhaustion.

Thursday marks the first day the Valley has reached 110° this year.

He cares about them as people who feed his ego. He loves that. He doesn't care much about their welfare, as we already saw with his rallies during the height of covid-19. He expects his beloved followers to sacrifice themselves for the good of Trump. (Or he'll dump them like trash.)

Then again, I've seen football games with conditions at least as bad, both hot and cold. I don't normally hold it against the ones holding an event if people are more than willing to brave the elements.

I didn't have a dog but I went for long walks all the time in the summer. A lot of the time on the Strip and Downtown where there were zillions of people out walking around. I visited Sunset Park where the rally was held plenty of times in the summer and there was always lots activity going on there. What's ironic is the summers where I live now in the Seattle area are more unpleasant because they're humid instead of dry. This news story is just more orange man bad nonsense.

Not sure the "he scheduled an event when it's hot out" necessarily proves anything.

There are people who go sit in that kind of heat for sporting events. It's not exactly like it's a compulsory event.

Did people assume it wasn't going to be hot in Vegas in the summer time?

This kind of stuff happens in the hot weather, people assume those risks themselves.

Of all the things to criticize him for "He made a joke, and a few people got overheated because there was an outdoor event scheduled and it was a hot day" doesn't rank to high on the list and comes across as grasping at straws.

On the "valid complaint" scale, this one is only a notch or two above "18 people needed to use Flonase because Trump was so inconsiderate that he scheduled an event near a field of wildflowers during allergy season"

Ok. And he couldn’t hold an indoor rally or at a more comfortable time of day? It seems careless to me.

Not that I care if fewer Trump voters make it to Election Day.
