So here's the thing, if and when we pray the prayer of the Our Father - Are we not intending that it be likewise as it is in Heaven.
But this seems so simplistic, right?
Like the eternal life doesn't precisely matter on earth because the many varying ways people like to choose to believe.
So we ought not cause disruption for a zealous person is seen as a mental one.

If you like, outside the Bible, the testament of other early fathers who stood up to the secular promptings.

But maybe we hide the truth under a basket because it doesn't sit well with folks who do not agree, as free will says they may not, and on pretense hide away from bold faith.

ALSO - ABORTION is not healthcare - because the Bible tells us the LORD ABOVE knit us in the womb. HE KNEW US BEFORE He knit us.
That's truth. He basically wants HEALTHCARE for the babies.
WHERE is their healthcare?
Does a woman commit murder and not struggle with it?
If you are well read then certainly you know when a woman gets pregnant - the DNA of that child is now part of her brain - survival of the human race I gander.
ONE third of women who have abortions either commit suicide on the anniversary of the birthdate that didn't happen or the abortion.
HOW - CC - is that care? Let alone healthcare?
Once the baby is gone, that woman [if sane or caring] struggles through life from that decision.

AND NOW for IRONY...
Women are told to say to men - you cannot tell me what to do with my body ...
1. This is not their body. Their body is a temporary condition.
2. Men do NOT comprehend the battle they fight ever after. Nor do they care.. it's not DNA in their brains.
3. It's Hypocrisy to suggest there is even a smidge of healthcare involved in that decision.

I tell you my friend, the spirit world is not only eternal but vastly different and if we shy away from following the Lord, well there were many souls gone before us seek prayer and contrition.
"If" they were so lucky to receive a miracle at all of gaining time in purgatory.

Jesus said to make it to Heaven we must be perfect like the Father.
Ponder how far our personal journey is to that end.

Are we caring about the child??
And do we care the Almighty had plans for HIS Creation - His creation of a wanted soul?
His WILL?
So.....

no, then on my question ? ;

Geezz....

All you had to do was tell me the Dan Williams was the guy who wrote "God's own Party" I mean, there are about 100 Daniel Williams.

Now that I know who Daniel Williams is :

That's a peer reviewed book your talking about as if it's an X (or twitter or whatever) post. It's actually, you know, been verified as being, you know, correct and stuff. Claiming it's just someone else opinion is the kind weridy stuff that we have to put up with since Web 2.0.
CC abortion and contraception have been around as long as the oldest ... profession.
It was not legal under the Catholic Church which aided governments world wide til the French Revolution which was 100 years attacking the French Monarchy and the Catholics aid to governments. [1700s]

It was then not legal-eze til the court case at the level of Supreme Court and the errors of the USA and the 'other religions' allowing it spread.

Is that simplistic?

Maybe Biden knows Church teaching and rejects it or maybe he's just confused and really doesn't know.
Or maybe, like many thinking Catholics, he realizes that the situation is far more complex than something that can be properly fixed with just a ban. Some women need a great deal more support if we want them to carry their pregnancy to term.

He’s also a pro abortion advocate. I wouldn’t exactly call Biden a critical thinker.

Although I do agree with your post.

I know some people who are Pro-choice but not pro-abortion. They are not the same thing.

It comes down to a woman should have the choice to make bad decisions. Think prohibition. It did not work.
So? Someone shouldn’t have to die because someone else made a bad decision.

Should drunk driving be legal because many people die in it and people make bad decisions? No.

Don't get me wrong. I am for defending the lives of the most vulnerable, including in the womb.

But it is IMPORTANT that we try to see from the perspective of others and be charitable when imputing their motives and reasoning.

People die from other peoples bad decisions all the time. It is a fact of life.

The difference between drunk driving and abortion is that many people believe the life in the womb does not have equal moral status with the life that has been born and taken breath. Life in the womb is totally dependent on the mother and came into her without he full consent. Some argue it is an intruder and she has the right to defend herself from it. When I heard that one I was stunned. But how do we best engage with such thinking?

This thread is about cafeteria Catholics. The truth is we are all pretty selective. How many fully appreciate the Social Teaching of the Church.
The document on Faithful Citizenship Forming Consciences for Faithful Citizenship - Table of Contents reflects teaching from Compendium of the Social Doctrine of the Church.

How many of us are fully on board with all that? Especially all that does not align with our partisan biases.

Yes well to heck with consequences.

Christians help one another…
or be judged for their sin you chose not to stop.
IE if someone is eternally lost by ignoring their choices you are as guilty and judged.

The education of the child in the womb includes the scientific facts the mother is permanently carrying her child’s dna in her brain, and the statistics of depression and despair post abortion are hugely important but absolutely avoided, ignored, and often excluded from public knowledge.

Murderers don’t want people to live.
So the idea that government is a moral leadership position is nonsense.

US was once a capitalist society that had morals.
The world is in chaos and wracked with sin.

The government is putting people under siege for opposing abortion and population control.

Meanwhile birth rates are at record lows

How do you think you are stopping abortion or helping?

Trying to explain to people [ironic] the very dark side.

The education of the child in the womb includes the scientific facts the mother is permanently carrying her child’s dna in her brain, and the statistics of depression and despair post abortion are hugely important but absolutely avoided, ignored, and often excluded from public knowledge.

Because of this quote...

Then I answered the above quote.

Education.

Maybe if it becomes more popular to go back to actual morals with the knowledge of birthrates being below the replacement we wouldn't have habitual liars opening up the border to do that replacement.

So instead of babies we are getting murderers, human traffickers, rapists and insane criminals/people.

I mean not to be obvious here, it would be total deliberate dictatorship style of so called reps to want the worst to walk in to replace whereas an infant born here has more interest in the betterment of our society vs the conquering.

HOW? Educate.
Yes I know liberals are hard but good news BILL MAHER has been waking up. I mean he still has to hit the snooze but he wrote a book for liberals.... stating...
THESE are not the same politicians of years past.

It takes one to see things to possibly help others. NY, Chicago residents are seeing it.
Tik tok is filling up with people waking up.

Keep praying, keep talking.

Also I am vocal on Facebook and do not care who leaves.
But I do pray.

Social media is a double edged sword.
It has pros and cons.

I am educated on the amount of foolery and just incredible egotistical amount of people doing wicca now - spell casters.
I am also vocal on things in a good way.
Keep sharing and let people walk away.

I did in fact lose a 'friend' when I posted...
"IF you can't find your soulmate, maybe someone aborted them."

It is what it is, but I pray for them.

Well said. There must be earthly consequences for abortion. Killing the most vulnerable all in the name of choice is never ok.

Absolutely!

Facebook is ran by liberals, so don’t be surprised if people raise a few eyebrows.
