"The anger of the LORD shall not return, until he have executed, and till he have performed the thoughts of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it perfectly." - Jeremiah 23:20
"Behold, the whirlwind of the LORD goeth forth with fury, a continuing whirlwind: it shall fall with pain upon the head of the wicked. The fierce anger of the LORD shall not return, until he hath done it, and until he have performed the intents of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it." - Jeremiah 30:23-24
Isaiah 46:8-10,
"Remember this, and shew yourselves men: bring it again to mind, O ye transgressors.
Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,
Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:"
We know we can trust in the LORD Yahweh in all things. Not one of His words shall ever fail. We must be considering in these latter days all the things the LORD, the Great God has said and done. The anger of the LORD shall come, and the whirlwind of the LORD shall blow as a mighty wind across the land, but the elect shall stand firm in Christ, for they are purchased with His blood forevermore.
That these are the latter days is sure, for even in the time of the Apostles they taught they were in the last time and the last days. 1 John 2:18, "Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time."
Acts 2:16-17, "But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh..."
For Jesus Christ established the Church, the body of Christ, in all parts of the habitable earth, and even today in parts of the earth that were not habitable then, such as Antarctica. Once the church was established, all that remained was the Gospel to be preached to all nations, and Israel to return as a nation: now accomplished. The Gospel's been preached in all the world, maybe not to every single living person, but it has been preached.
That knowledge increase was also foretold by Daniel the prophet, whom Christ confirmed was indeed a prophet, and now that is a reality, so that all things are converging. We await the Son of man from heaven, and our redemption is much much closer than when we first believed. Romans 13:11, "And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed."
And when so long ago on the day of Pentecost the Holy Spirit broke out among the people, indueing them with power from on high, and gifts of the Spirit. That was around 1991-1994 years ago depending on how you reckon the year of the crucifixion. Just the fact we are near the 2,000 year mark tells us we must be close, for 6,000 years are past; Romans 9:28, "For he will finish the work, and cut it short in righteousness: because a short work will the Lord make upon the earth"
In these latter days, let us consider it, and consider it perfectly, what the LORD has done, and what the LORD doeth, and what the LORD shall do. Amen.
