I've seen it a few times before. I didn't remember the exact details. But I do know he wasn't standing at podium saying "my fellow Americans inject Clorox and drink Lysol".

"Doctor, do you think we should inject bleach or drink Lysol?" isn't really better - any reasonable person would know that that's an idiotic question.

Nothing has been pointed out about the jury selection. Apart from Dershowitz lying about it. Is there another thread of which I'm unaware? Give me the details please and we'll examine them.

I've seen others commenting about it watching news clips. If you watched the news you would have come across it too. But as usual you say you make it clear you're uninformed and insist that someone does your homework for you. And if they're gullible enough to do so, the automatic response is to say that it's all lies.

Yeah but that's not what he said or meant. That's a really simple deduction from listening to what he actually said. If folks can get that so wrong what all else are they getting wrong? If they'll believe such an easy lie to disprove, it seems they'll believe just about anything the left wing feeds them.

Well, he's certainly experienced in using things like that to argue for his client. We know he's defended Trump before, so it's not surprising that he may be angling for the job at his inevitable appeal.

I do not claim legal qualifications, but I do have common sense and can tell a qualified legal expert from a political hack.

I never called him a political hack. I called him a defense attorney, with years of experience looking at trials and trying to figure out defense strategies.

He's also worked for Trump before, and undoubtedly wouldn't object to working for him again.

Irregularities have been pointed out in many posts on this thread but apparently you refuse to accept any analysis that does not conform to your personal political bias.

I've heard accusations of vague charges, bias on the part of the judge and/or jury, etc. So far, only accusations, though. The charges were not vague at all, anyone can easily find the specific NY state law that Trump was charged with: 175.10. As to the accusations of bias, accusations are all I've seen. No one has shown any clear indication of bias in any of Judge Mercan's rulings, and the jury was selected by both sides, so any bias on the part of any juror must have been missed during voie dire.

Hey, if you say there has been a problem then 'I saw someone saying something on tv' doesn't cut it. And nobody is insisting you do any homework. I'm asking you to be specific. You have implied that there was something wrong in the jury selection process. I've read multiple reports and articles on it and there is no indication of a problem. If you know of one then post the details and we'll discuss them.

If you have none then cut the bluster.

I agree that he wasn't suggesting that Americans inject bleach or disinfectant (that's been mildly blown out of proportion as the story has been retold), but he was definitely asking if that was possible. Which isn't really any better.

No, not really - it's pretty clear, in context, that Trump has no idea what he's talking about and is just trying to sound smart or insightful on camera. Those are absolutely questions that a person with no knowledge of the topic would ask, but a sensible person would ask them privately. Generally, throwing out completely infeasible ideas as possible solutions just makes you look like an idiot - which is why you ask the experts if they're possible first; before you speak to the entire country.

Most people had little to no idea regarding covid and treatments at that time. And he wasn't speaking to the country, he was asking a question while the cameras were rolling. The person being questioned had the opportunity to say "no that's idiotic" or something along those lines, but that wasn't the response. What you're doling out is just the usual 'orange man bad' routine.

I already did say he lied about jury selection. I didn't watch his statement about the few minutes the courtroom was cleared and he wasn't.

For comparisons sake, according to Politifact's Truth-o-meter: Trump has 390 false statements, 189 "pants on fire." Biden has 63 false, 7 "pants on fire."
