Well, I guess Republicans are back to calling Biden a criminal mastermind instead of a senile old man.
Pence is the latest.
Eye roll, please.
The purported mastermind orchestrated the NYC courts to prosecute Trump. Really?
And they claim this will make Americans distrust the courts.
No way.
In order, I distrust the courts because of:
Thomas' millions of dollars in patronage and his wife's coziness with conspiracy theorists
Alito's gifts and disrespect for the flag, fair elections, and our institutions
Their failure to recuse themselves on upcoming cases
Roberts' shielding his justices from accountability
Aileen Cannon's derailing a case which is unwinnable for Trump.
It disgusts me to hear sycophants denouncing a fair trial when they should be supporting a judicial accountability law with teeth.

Why would Mike Pence support Trump after 2021? Didn't Trump's followers say something about executing Pence? Man, the GOP in 2024 is confusing, and totally different from the GOP a decade ago in the first half of the 2010s. :(

Trump followers threatened Pence: https://www.politico.com/news/2022/...ort-hanging-pence-capitol-riot-jan-6-00035117

Pence said Trump endangered his family: Pence says Trump 'endangered my family' on Jan. 6

JD Vance, Marco Rubio, Lindsay Graham, and most other Republicans have been opposed to Trump for varying lengths of time, but they are fearful of being primaried, alienating his supporters, and losing power.
Lara Trump's leading the GNC has further boosted his power.

Why would Mike Pence support Trump after 2021?
Because he wants a Republican in the White House and has been convinced that Trump is the only way that's happening in 2024.

ETA: and Republicans weren't much better a decade ago, no matter how much you keep repeating that. It's not your fault for not remembering - you were a child - but during Obama's presidency, we had an upswell of racism (demanding to see Obama's birth certificate, calling him a monkey, claiming he was a Muslim because his middle name is Hussein), a Congress that explicitly stated that their goal was to ensure that Obama only got one term (by filibustering and stonewalling every piece of legislation they could - including the budget), the rise of the Tea Party, etc. Sure, they ran sensible presidential candidates like McCain and Romney, but overall, the GOP as a whole was well on its way to the place it is today by the period you're recalling so nostalgically.

Yeah, McCain & Romney were who I was thinking about when pining for the past. I am a little young, so I do not remember stuff in the 2000s as much. So, forgive me. :)

Biden has done something - no one else has seemed to be able to do. Galvanize the Republican Party behind Trump. That's right this whole sham trial (my opinion) has brought never Trumpers from the Right to supporting the man. Bravo Joe! you pulled a rabbit out of your hat.

Don't worry Joe will have his day - he opened pandora's box and now he himself is not safe from prosecution once he is out of the Whitehouse (I hope and pray in Jan 2025).

I said it before and I'll say it again - it is looking like Jimmy Carter part 2 with the inept (and now immoral, criminal), occupant of the Whitehouse being summarily dismissed by the voting public and the re-entry of Conservative leadership system wide.

We can only hope it happens again.

I don't understand this how could have Biden prevented Brag from prosecuting Trump ? Even if Trump won in 2020 Brag would get him Jan 25 2025

I hope so, too, for your sake. In a democracy the people always get the government they deserve, and you really do deserve a Trump administration.

Yeah, the only GOP candidate left in the race for the nomination had 0% GOP support until Biden said something or another about the guy. Even though he polled above 80% favorable among GOP voters during his one term in office?

Come on, at least vet the talking points before trying them out here.

Too bad we are not a democracy.

If we get what we want, how did we get the disaster currently occupying the Whitehouse?

We had 4 years of Trump. Biden was the result.

By voting, and then the electoral college does a vote based upon the number of seats in the state. That is how an election in a republic works. God bless.

@hislegacy Here is a chart for how voting works. I don't like either candidate in 2024, but this chart shows how a candidate becomes president.

I mean no offense, I have had civic classes. Might have been 45 years ago, but I did take them. I am well aware.

Explained even easier here.

I had to take civic classes also. :) Just making sure my friend, as that class (high school US History/Civics) was kinda boring for me also.

Edit: School House Rock is a classic. When I was home schooled (2006-2009), my mom taught the civics lesson to me with School House Rock on DVD.

It wasn't any better in the 80s under Reagan & Bush.

Please ask hislegacy to sing that "I'm just a bill" song. I forgot how bills are passed in congress. It's been so long since one passed. And since I watched that on Saturday mornings in the 70s or something. :musicnotes::musicnotes: Conjunction Junction what's your function?

Wow poor Bill. He's gonna die in committee...again :(. Thanks for the trip down memory lane brother. And hislegacy too. Schoolhouse rock was classic, wholesome TV if that exists. Before we had to teach our young-uns how to stay alive in school during shootings.
