Are you serious ? There are no facts that point to any crime committed by Trump. This DA can't even name a crime he used as basis to make past statute of limitation misdemeanors a felony.

Were that actually the case, I'm surprised the trial got this far in the first place. But, since neither one of us is a lawyer, nor are either of us experienced in NY law, I'd guess the lawyers involved know more than we do.

At the very least, I suspect your own bias may be coloring your interpretation of the legal intricacies.

Lots people are surprised it got this far, including liberal, neutral and conservative legal scholars. AG’s from several states have spoken out on this farce. It got this far because this is a hit job on a political opponent. The #3 guy from Biden’s DOJ left his job to assist Bragg and even made the opening statement. Bragg ran for office campaigning to “get Trump “. The judge donated to the Biden campaign, the judges daughter is financially profiting for the DNC. The judge is corrupt violating many norms for running a fair trial. Gag orders are usually used to protect the defendant but Trump was gagged while Cohen made money off of trashing Trump, no gag on him. Any fair minded person can see what is going on here . The goal is to drain Trump financially, keep him off of the campaign trail, secure a felony conviction knowing full well this will be overturned on appeal but that doesn’t matter justice is not the goal here, damaging Trump is the only goal. That is backfiring according to all polls. The thinking American public who care about the constitution, blind justice and saving this country from the tyranny of liberal political partisans see the truth of what is happening here and will vote accordingly.

So I think we can rest easy that this not just normal procedure for all search warrants, but normal procedure for all search warrants at locations protected by Secret Service.

The Secret Service was notified beforehand. Trump was never in danger, no matter how hard he plays the victim card.

On what specifically about the case am I misinformed ? Any fair minded observer would see what is happening here. The star witness profits from trashing the man he is testifying against, he is a convicted, admitted liar, he admitted to a crime on the stand. Tell me how I may have unfairly and ignorantly expressed an opinion on this witness? Now to the judge who is obviously a biased , compromised political hack. Misuse of the gag order traditionally used to protect the defendant now used to silence one. The judge has broken numerous court decorum norms. Many CREDIBLE law scholars have said this case should never have been charged in fact the Feds passed on it. My preference here is that actually law be observed not the partisan attacks to eliminate a political rival. This is not the only case against Trump stained by corruption. I believe in the end truth will prevail and the American public will see this witch hunt for what it really is.
