  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

[Mike Lindell] announced his “Prove Mike Wrong Challenge” at a “cyber symposium” in South Dakota in 2021, saying he would give $5m to anyone who could disprove what he claimed was genuine election data he had obtained....

On Wednesday, a panel of the American Arbitration Association ruled in a dispute between Lindell and Robert Zeidman, an expert who took up the challenge.

Based on its analysis, the panel said, “Mr Zeidman performed under the contract … Failure to pay Mr Zeidman the $5m prized was a breach of the contract, entitling him to recover.”

Does Mike Lindell still have that kind of money?

This would appear to be merely the start of troubles for Mike Lindell. Don't forget, he is also being sued by Dominion and Smartmatic and Fox News settling with Dominion would appear to be bad news for Mike Lindell. I suspect My Pillow will not survive much longer, at least, unless it becomes a fully owned subsidiary of Dominion or Smartmatic.

He at least has money for lawyers.

Cyber expert awarded $5 million from Mike Lindell asks federal court to compel MyPillow CEO to pay up

The cybersecurity expert who took on election conspiracy theorist Mike Lindell and was awarded $5 million from an arbitration panel has asked a federal court to force Lindell to pay up, according to court documents obtained by CNN.

Lindell had already asked a state court to vacate the arbitration panel’s decision, according to the new filing from Zeidman’s team. Lindell has not yet made any payments to Zeidman.

“This is a complete sham. A complete sham,” Lindell told CNN by phone Friday.

[They should put that quote under his picture in every story about Mike Lindell.]

Well, some lawyers for some cases.

‘Hello Jurors’: Mike Lindell Says He Will Represent Himself in Dominion Trial

In a daring move last week, “My Pillow” CEO Mike Lindell announced that he would withhold millions in payment from his legal team, risking financial fallout for the sake of his business empire. The flamboyant pillow magnate opted to forge ahead without legal counsel, leaving his attorneys in a financial lurch. Lindell’s decision came with the swift withdrawal of his longtime legal firm, Parker Daniels Kibort, from defamation suits filed by Dominion Voting Systems, Smartmatic, and former Dominion employee Eric Coomer, whom Lindell accused of election manipulation.

Interestingly, the legal team did not step back from a separate legal battle seeking to overturn a binding arbitration order in the “Prove Mike Wrong” contest. This contest, involving a $5 million reward for disproving Lindell’s alleged evidence of fraud in the 2020 election, is now facing a move to nullify the order, citing alleged errors by arbitrators.

Federal court compels MyPillow CEO to pay up

Court upholds ruling that Mike Lindell must pay expert who debunked election lie $5M prize

In a 12-page order released on Wednesday, U.S. District Court Judge John Tunheim upheld a ruling that found Lindell must pay $5 million to cybersecurity expert Robert Zeidman, who responded to a contest to prove the pillow executive had not obtained evidence from the 2020 election.

Zeidman has said that he doesn't actually expect Lindell to pay up.

Trump's lie from when he first spoke it, has been the same contradiction in reasoning as Lindell's expert's testimony described below.

"He was great for our side because he just couldn’t control himself from saying things like that, contradicting himself, making statements that he would admit he didn’t know but he was sure they were true."

MyPillow founder Mike Lindell’s attorneys bail on him as he fights $5M ‘Prove Mike Wrong’ challenge award

As two of his attorneys withdraw from his case, 2020 election denier and pillow magnate Mike Lindell has been greenlit to appeal a federal judge’s ruling last month affirming he must pay $5 million to a software engineer who defeated an election data challenge that Lindell himself issued.

He is now represented by Thomas Miller, a Wayzata, Minnesota, attorney.

Mike Lindell’s MyPillow Evicted From Warehouse After Failing to Pay Rent

Mike Lindell’s MyPillow owes so much money in back rent that a judge allowed a landlord’s request on Tuesday to evict the company from a Minnesota warehouse, the Star Tribune reported. Four default notices were sent to MyPillow over the last six months, with the landlord of the Shakopee warehouse providing evidence in eviction court that the company owes more than $200,000 in unpaid rent and is behind on both February and March payments.

'It's the End Times': Mike Lindell says God will rapture him over voting machines

MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell this week said God could initiate the End Times if he is unable to abolish voting machines.

"God gave me a download of a plan and I announced it in August, this plan to secure our elections and that they turned up the heat," he opined. "They've attacked MyPillow worse than they've ever been attacked."

"And I tell people, we're in a win-win situation," he explained. "If everything I'm fighting for, if we don't save our country, it's the End Times, we all go to heaven as believers. It's a win-win. Everybody's got to embrace it."

And I get all his stuff when he vanishes. win-win-win

MyPillow founder Mike Lindell loses his final attorney in lawsuit over $5 million ‘Prove Mike Wrong’ challenge award

“Counsel for Respondent has notified the Court by email that he can no longer serve as lead counsel for Respondent,” Magistrate Judge Dulce J. Foster wrote in a terse June 4 order.

yadda yadda Judge does judge thingy

In other words, the challenge winner’s counsel was directed to serve notice directly on Lindell’s corporate entity.

On Tuesday, Zeidman’s attorney submitted notice with the court to say he did exactly that – with the company’s general counsel, who is a lawyer, but not the lawyer of record in the ongoing litigation.

PS should Zeidman prevail (and he should) the $5 million is accruing interest since he won in federal court in 2023.

Mike Lindell says 'cash-strapped' MyPillow took $1.6 million loan from payday lender at 409% interest

The lawsuit says Cobalt, Streamline, and two men named as defendants "took advantage" of MyPillow, "a cash-strapped business that needed funds quickly." It adds that the September agreement to borrow nearly $1.6 million was stacked against MyPillow and risked ruining the company.

It's at least the third case filed in recent months involving MyPillow and merchant cash advances. In October, a company called Lifetime Funding said Lindell and his companies defaulted on a $600,000 advance barely a month after borrowing it. About a week later, another company, Shine Capital Group, filed a suit saying they defaulted on a $2 million deal signed in July.

Cash-strapped MAGA pillow entrepreneur Mike Lindell is now selling MyCross necklaces for $250 a pop (Apply MyDiscount code SIMONY for $75 discount)

The latest MyPillow product comes as Lindell and his bed furnishing empire are struggling through a series of legal and financial woes, which includes a recent $800,000 judgment to package delivery service DHL over unpaid bills and a $56,000 judgment to voting tech company Smartmatic.

Besides those billion-dollar lawsuits, which are still awaiting trial, Lindell was ordered in 2023 to pay $5 million to a computer programmer who had disproved his baseless claims of voter fraud. Lindell was later dropped by his lawyers in the Dominion case, who claimed that the pillow salesman owed them millions of dollars in unpaid legal fees.

I Won a $5 Million Judgment Against the MyPillow Guy. Now I’m Taking Him to the Supreme Court.

Earlier this summer, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit overturned my $5 million judgment against MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell for having won a challenge to prove that his claims of election fraud in 2020 were nonsense. This decision is not only bad for me, but bad for America. It upends the century-old Federal Arbitration Act and it diverts resources from legitimate investigations for improving our voting system to crazy conspiracies from wealthy plutocrats. I’m hoping the Supreme Court will reconsider this harmful ruling.

There’s important precedent that explains why Lindell should not have prevailed. The Supreme Court made it crystal clear in Oxford Health Plans LLC v. Sutter that an attempt to vacate an arbitration decision because the losing party disagrees with the interpretation of the contract is “not properly addressed to the Court.” This is exactly what happened in this case.
