  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Dominion Lawsuit Against Kraken Dead Enders Keeps Getting Weirder

[litany of Lambert's legal woes...]

On top of which, she now has an active warrant in that case after failing to appear multiple times.

Pro-Trump Michigan attorney arrested after hearing in DC over leaking Dominion documents

A Michigan judge earlier this month issued a bench warrant for Lambert after she missed a hearing in her case, in which she’s charged with four felonies for accessing voting machines in a search for evidence of a conspiracy theory against Trump.

I'm surprised that people even have the mental energy to talk about these things anymore. When I see how so many invested so many hours....hours upon hours of who was right and wrong about all these things I wonder that most don't just conclude, just forget about it!
That's the funny thing about felonies. They don't go away until the trials are over.

Pro-Trump lawyer surrenders in Michigan after DC arrest and Dominion leaks

Pro-Trump lawyer Stefanie Lambert surrendered Thursday to Michigan authorities in connection with her 2020 election tampering indictment, after a wild week where she was labeled a fugitive and spent a night in jail after being arrested in Washington, DC.

“The judge ruled that the Michigan bench warrant is now set aside, and she was taken into custody for the sole purpose of collecting her DNA and fingerprints,” Hilson said.

‘The Court will not postpone this hearing again’: Judge warns Michigan ‘Kraken’ lawyer who complained of ‘bogus charges’ that Dominion disqualification bid will be heard

When Stefanie Lambert told U.S. Magistrate Judge Moxila Upadhyaya that the hearing, initially scheduled for Monday, had to be moved in light of the fact she must appear in Michigan criminal court the same day, she asserted that she wouldn’t be able to travel to D.C. at all this coming week.

Last Wednesday, the Michigan Attorney General’s Office revealed that Lambert and one of her clients, ousted Adams Township Clerk Stephanie Scott of Hillsdale County, were hit with state felony computer crime charges for allowing an “unauthorized computer examiner access to voter data, including non-public voter information, concerning the 2020 General Election.”

Ex-Overstock CEO ‘once again violated’ protective order hours after hearing to disqualify ‘Kraken’ lawyer, Dominion tells judge

After a U.S. magistrate judge warned that a disqualification hearing would not be moved again, a “Kraken” lawyer facing multiple felony charges in Michigan showed up to court last Thursday in Washington, D.C., and made her best pitch for remaining on Dominion Voting Systems’ defamation lawsuit after a massive discovery breach. Just hours later, Stefanie Lambert’s client, former Overstock CEO Patrick Byrne, “appears” to have “once again violated” the protective order, a Dominion lawyer has since informed the judge.

[Byrne] “used X to further disseminate the impermissibly leaked documents” from Dominion discovery that led to the plaintiff’s motion to disqualify Lambert from the case.

In Colorado, a grand jury last year indicted Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters (R) for allegedly secretly copying hard drives from voting equipment in an attempt to investigate whether anyone tampered with the election. Peters, who has since left office, was convicted of a misdemeanor obstruction charge in March in a separate case.

Supreme Court declines to halt former Colorado official’s trial on charges related to election security breach

The Tina Peters update prompts another update.

Michigan Supreme Court candidate may face disbarment — after the election

  • Attorney Disciplinary Board could suspend or disbar Michigan Supreme Court candidate Matthew Deperno, but no decision expected by November
  • Michigan requires judges to be licensed attorneys, adding fresh uncertainty to his campaign
“I definitely think it will be after Nov. 5,” Austin Blessing-Nelson, associate counsel for the Michigan Attorney Grievance Commission, said Wednesday in a pre-hearing for DePerno, who is seeking a Republican nomination for the state’s highest court.

The commission filed a complaint against DePerno more than a year ago — in June 2023 — accusing him of three counts of professional misconduct dating back to his time as an attorney for former state Rep. Todd Courser, who resigned after attempting to cover up an extramarital affair.

Party of family values and election security.

DePerno will face lawyer Alexandria Taylor and Circuit Court Judge Patrick O’Grady at the GOP convention in the race to serve the remainder of a term vacated by former chief justice Bridget Mary McCormack. The nominee will face Supreme Court Justice Kyra Harris Bolden, a Democrat appointed by Whitmer, on the November general election ballot.

Former Colorado clerk Tina Peters convicted in election interference case

Tina Peters, the former clerk of Mesa County, was found guilty of four felonies after a lengthy criminal trial. She was cleared of three lesser charges.

[Prosecutor] Drake argued Peters was “fixated” on a desire to be a “hero” and to impress [MyPillow Mike] Lindell, one of the most notable election-denying conspiracy theorists.

“The defendant was a fox guarding the henhouse. It was her job to protect the election equipment, and she turned on it and used her power for her own advantage,” Drake said in arguments, according to The Associated Press.

Per Axios, she faces as much as 22 years in prison.

Per Axios, she faces as much as 22 years in prison.
Former Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters was sentenced to 8-and-a-half years in prison and additional time to be served in the Mesa County Detention Center for a total of nine years incarceration on Thursday.

Peters was immediately taken into custody and escorted to the Mesa County Detention Center where she will begin serving her sentence. She has 21 days to appeal her sentence.

The case marked the first prosecution of a local election official over a suspected security breach in connection with the 2020 election.

At the time, Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser called her conviction a warning that tampering with voting processes will bring consequences.
