We have let ourselves become dumbed down and lazy. The truth is that most issues in the world are complex. But we don't have time or patience to explore for deeper truth. Rather, we opt for one of the simplified extremes. We do not want to think critically. We would rather have have our present preferences confirmed. This is actually quite tragic and we don't even realize it. We cannot tolerate having our opinions and thoughts challenged or even questioned, examined. That means we are stuck, no possibility of growth or development because growth and development can be painful. Growth and development require some time of uncertainty and vulnerability. We cannot tolerate uncertainty and vulnerability .

America is not only being pulled apart, it is going down the tubes. I am sorry to say that I am very pessimistic about our future. And not just the future for America. This is a global problem.
