  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

We're having green bean casserole and a dish we call squash puff. This will be accompanied by dressing, mashed potatoes, giblet gravy and hot rolls. Turkey and ham for main course. Oh yeah sweet potatoes with marshmallows. Still haven't finalized dessert. Haven't made any decision on cranberry sauce either.
How many are you serving? I'm confused when people serve turkey AND ham. I thought turkey was traditional. Mom's dessert was always pumpkin pie. We only had pie at Thanksgiving and Christmas. No other kind of pie ever. Her two weaknesses were ice cream or canned peaches, Maybe I already said this,

I love green bean casserole. A friend of my daughter made a vegetable dish that was roasted or baked; it had an unknown mixture of vegetables. I wish I had the recipe. It was out of this world!

It's a very small turkey and ham.
