  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Italy had no births for 3 months - zero.

During the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Northern Italy had a large number of people who got
sick and died. This was because the population in that area of Italy was so low, it was mostly old people
living there. As a result, Italy began a campaign of letting young immigrants from China to live there.
They took on jobs that old people could not do anymore. Any, during the Chinese New Year in February
of that year, many of the immigrants when back to China for the New Year celebration. They returned with
the COVID infection and infected the elderly Italian population. This was the main cause of driving the
COVID infection rate up in that area.

So, yes, Italy has a problem with repopulating itself. I even read about 8 years ago of villages becoming
extinct as a result. However, I doubt that there were zero births in three months.

Also, Japan has a repopulation problem and because of their anti-immigration policies, the population
of native Japanese is in peril. It has much to do with their focus on creating robots to do the mundane
task that they won't have people to do.
How sad.

Meanwhile I assume they have the same immigration crises that France, Spain, Greece and other European countries are having with people pouring in from North Africa and the Middle East. That doesn't bode well for Italy.

Italian can always be replaced by Arabic.

It sounds like a error in statistical reporting.
What is possible is that Italy has experienced zero population growth over a three month period.
This would mean there are births, but with the average Italian woman producing 1.24 children, it is easily offset with the mortality rate.
They already bury 12 for each 7 born. Immigration may make up the difference.

There was a Catholic chatter or Christian, I wish I remembered the source I was listening to.
WHO SAID.... China is also losing birth rates.
And not because of their 3 child policy in effect now... because they are not even having that many.
Their one child policy, now thankfully trash-canned, set up an expectation. I think most Chinese now treat that as the new norm.

I just heard something about Chinese medicine, where there is a lot of self-harm from people who don't have much to live for.

They better be making robots that can befriend people so they don't feel so alone. But would that really work?

Italian can always be replaced by Arabic.
All the romantic languages seem to be trending that way, and now the Latin ones as well. More than a shame, it's a travesty.

They're up to 3 now because low birth rates.
The low volume of women might be a key to that.
Depressed men without wives.

WOMEN get to pick and choose mates in China now, and they usually go for money now.
So the poor men who may love a woman don't stand a chance.

Ergo the low number of women has messed up lives.

It’s hard to recover from walking off a demographic cliff. Children are a sign of hope for the future. A paucity of children is a sign of hopelessness.
Yes exactly. Children are the future. This is why although I am a conservative and mostly believe in smaller government I believe that our government should encourage family formation, marriage and children. I think births should either be free or greatly reduced, child tax credits, long maternity leaves, etc. And I personally support a national abortion ban set at six weeks.(heartbeat) I realize that will be hard to get through but I'm going to vote in the primary for the candidate who has declared they would sign it, or would sign a ban.

The point is that this could actually happen, that an AI Computer teaches itself to break into the Chinese
Defense system and make it look like the US has launched nuclear missiles at them, which they respond
to with actually launching their own, which then triggers the US to really launch missiles and of course
this also triggers Russia to launch their own. Meanwhile, those up in the space station watch as they
see the earth come to an end. Hopefully, I won't be around to see it. :D

So, who is ready for the Muslim world majority? I for one can't wait until England is a Caliphate. (Sarcasm)

Westerners are so deluded
They don't even need 51% to take over in any particular country. Just to be a semi-cohesive group when they vote. They should be able to take over with about 25%. Then the Sharia Law comes into effect in Europistan.

Research shows 15% they riot for Sharia and start taking it upon themselves.
